If your running regular foams, water does indeed breakdown the foams. With closed cells this isn't a problem, however, there's arguably only one set rear closed foams worth running now the AKA red closed cell. The others are much too hard for most outdoor applications. This soon will change as proline and JConcepts are producing softer closed cells. I run a tiny hole on the outside of the tire and a standard 4-40 size hole on the inner. Just don't dunk the tires in the bucket. Ideally, using a bucket with a brush glued to the bottom and filling the bucket to just under the bristles of the brush works great for 1/10 scale tires.

Yes, just brush the tires off, then dry, no dunking.

That's what I use to clean my tires is an old toothbrush.
I see people at the track using the brush in a plastic tub idea.
The only thing bad about using simple green on tires is they eat up the foams over time, just you have to be careful. I just use regular soap and water.

what would a b4.1 act like with the same setting with only a motor swap. 13.5 to 8.5? Besides the speed... Like handling/ traction? thanks

I have many new sets of the red AKAs, and the Blue proline closed cells, and the proline foam is just barely noticeably softer, not firmer, and appears to be better material when you look at them side by side together.

Nice. Haven't had a chance to try them. Just the JC and AKA. Nothing would be finer than a re-usable foam to hopefully cut the tire cost down along with a consistant foam insert.

uhg.. the jconcept closed cells are awful... way too flat, and way too firm.

I think they have been updated a bit. Look kind of like prolines w/o the inner groove cut out. Much softer than the old JC's.

The setup from the worlds were posted on Team Associated website. Pretty interesting to see what way they went with the long chassis.

Very interesting... Especially the drilled rear piston, the Carbon U-brace and the admission of running K-springs.

You think the carbon brace is to control flex since the chassis is longer now?

The three adjustment holes on the caster block. Standard on the B4.1. They were not running the C hubs.

what would be the reason to run the kyosho fronts and still run the green rears? I saw they grinded away the side of their shock bodies so they dont rub so I believe it just wondering the reason?
