I finished my B4.1 Limo last night, and tried both, the Proline Vortex, and the JC Punisher, the Vortex fits better, the Punisher needs a bit more trimming in the front in order for it to sit nice and low, but not bad. The Punisher actually looks pretty sick on the longer chassis....

Default B4.1 Limo.....

So I modified my B4.1 into a Limo Edition B4.1 and i gotta say, it does improve how well the car handles jumps and bumps, and yet it still turns on a dime.

I did notice that I can get away with running a heavier spring in the back, did the AE drivers use silver springs in the back of their B4s??

anyone else try kyosho springs on the truck?

i went with 55mm #70 on the front and black #50 zx5 springs on the rear.

really liked it compared to the blue/green ae setup. jumped and landed very plush.

Yeah that's a good point...I have been using a temp gun for awhile now bc as you get older, sensations to your fingers/hands fade...lol.

Is that how everyone decides on amount of boost by temping after a normal run (4min or 5min) ?

I belive someone mentioned that the team guyed Kyosho springs at the worlds. The part numbers were posted a couple of pages back. I picked up some orange springs for the front and black, yellow and cobalt blue for the rears. I may go test the car tonight now that the Limo is done(complete with minibar).

Since the Team were reportedly running an addition 8mm on the chassis, I added 3 inches just to see what it will do. If 8mm is good 3 Inches must be great. lol JK

Based on the pictures, they looked like Silver or Greens in rear and Brown or Silver fronts....do you think they used Kyosho springs and removed the Colors??

I doubt that Cav and Maifield would use anything but Associated components on their rides, but I could be wrong though....

3 inches, woah, you were supposed to use a T4 chassis not an SC10 chassis....

Word on the street is that the paint was removed. If you look closely at the pics of the worlds cars you can see a small amount of paint on the bottom of the spring to indicate the color.

Those sly dogs!!!

They were definitely Kyosho springs. The paint on the bottom doesnt correspond to anything the Kyosho has (Cav had pink rears), it was most likely put there to identify it only to the team.

Wonder if new progressive Kyosho-like springs and extended chassis would be released as a World's update package?

Don't rub on the shock body, more progressive feel.
