I just made the switch...Long time AE fanboy. There was very little difference in driving. (IMO) I look at it as just a higher quality B4.1. I am a 10th or 2 quicker with the K car but that just may have to do with the big bores/setup/track ect...ect.

Yeah, from what people have told me, the B4.1 and the RB5 are very similar. I've driven a 22 and it was definitely a lot different (or may not have been set up correctly, lots of steering and loose rear end).

I also found the RB5 and the B4 to drive very similarly... i think its because they share a lot of the same fundamental geometry. The B4 is cheaper and easier to work on, the Kyosho uses better materials but is more expensive.

And by higher quality I meant the fit and finish of the arms/shocks/steering...There are some parts of the B4 that are higher quality then the K car...Most notably the outdrives and cvd's.

iv only been running the B4.1 for a couple weeks... i will run it solid for the next month or two... maybe go back to the 22 again for a bit... which ever suites my driving style the best, I will keep. So far... its kind of a tossup. I think the B4 drive style might fit me better. I like a more agressive feeling car, and the 22 feels a little more lazy.

Teufel:
I played with 0 degree hubs from the b44 the other day on my 2wd at the track and to me made it feel like the rear end was too loose. I like a fairly locked in rear, and the cav setup with k springs and some added weight on the bulkhead and servo corners works pretty good for me. 2wd is a whole different driving game though compared to the wheeler.

Thanks for the tip on the RPM ball cups,
Had thought of running those, as past practice has showed me they are better. Yeah I only broke the rear camber link ones. Not sure why those only break.
Trevor,
Thanks for the help. I'll look into the B44 ones. I think I'm trying to get the right balance on the front and rear for what I want it to do. I know too much rear toe will cause the front end to push and too little rear toe will let it steer, but the rear end is too loose. Maybe it's still part of the way it used to be. Associated always had good rear traction, but tended to have a push and the Losi seemed to have good steering, but the rear felt loose. At least that the way they always felt to me.
Different than the wheeler? Man and then some. Coming back to 2wd after running 1/8th nitro for most of the past 10 years is a huge difference. The wheeler just made the transition a little easier. I'll get it figured out. Have a few things to try and see if they still work. Just remember, no more boost. Hard to keep pace when you are one of the only people running without boost. LOL. Just need to get the 2wd to drag race you down the straight like my wheeler did. Fun times.

what is a good short list of spare parts I should have on hand for my b4.1 FT? The local track does not really have any spares for sale, and my LHS is spotty at best for anything related to offroad buggy, so I need to order what I need beforehand in case I break at the track. I have front arms on order, I'm going to pick up rear arms from my LHS on Saturday, I have front and rear shock towers, I have spare CVD assemblies, what else should I keep on hand?
Thanks!
Thanks!
