Hey Lance got the piston shipped out and order filled. I put everything on back of order forum to of what else i ordered just incase. Also do you have any prefered break in that i can try. I do the start up drop on ground and run in fig 8's until almost empty let cool down and repeat gradually leanining a bit to stay around 200 degrees.

I recommend Heat cycling the first tank of fuel at anidle. Shutting it down approximatly every 5 minutes, then let it cool down completly, then do it again till the first tank is gone. this will usually be about 3to 4 cycles on th first tank. Then I like to idle a non stop next tank. let cool. Then start doing the figure 8's. The 2 idle tanks just puts less stress on the engine for that fisrt run in time which has a lot of stress on it. When you are driving around even if you are driving slow you are still adding to the stress of the internal components.

And I alwaysm ake sure I am rich but not puking rich, which is hard on the engine as well as liquid fuel does not compress and adds stress to to the process. So you want it rich but not disgustingly rich"if you know what I mean"

Everyone has has different ways but I think and from all my years doing this its a for sure safe way to do it that always yeilds good results.

Ill keeep an eye out for your stuff and let you know when it gets here.

Thanks again,
Lance

Ok so start it up and let idle for 5 mins and keep doing this till it runs out but every five mins let it cool. Then 2nd tank let it idle all the way through and cool. After that do fig 8 but leave it rich but not sputtering rich but a hesitating rich. Do i pre heat engine to about 170 before starting to idle and should i cover the head at idle and running and what temps should i aim for and about how many tanks on ground? Thanks lol I have only done one engine break in before and so far it runs great but i would rather take the experienced guys advice.

Cover the head for the idle tanks. Its good to preheat for the first several tanks before starting if it is fully cold. And try to keep temps around 170 - 200. Its hard to keep temps up high because the rich setting and its only running at idle. This is where a comp heat heater works very well.

Thanks,
Lance
