Do you have the optional LCD card? Have you D/L V1.36 firmware? You need to load the 508 no_timing to your speedo using the LCD and laptop/pc together. This will give you the blinky light thats needed and zero timing.
You can D/L the v1.36 here.

Ok, thats sort of good news. Atleast I don't have to buy a new speedo. The thing that sucks is I only have the programming card that came with it. So I checked amain hobbies to buy one and they are sold out. I found one place that was in europe but it would come to like $60 with shipping. Any suppliers of speed passion in canada or any good ones in the states that have similar prices to amain. Thanks for the info and hopefully someone can let me know of good supplier that is close with cheap shipping.

Just checked how much it would come to on the speed passion website and was over $75 with shipping. The shipping was just as much as the programmer. Thats insane!

I live in whitby,Ontario, Canada. I went there and they estimated it would be around $35 for shipping. There prices are more expensive then most other places. I bought my gt2.1 pro stock from amain for $125 and they sell it on the speedpassion website for like $170. Even the lcd card is like $4 more plus the outragous shipping cost. Amain hobbies does free shipping. I don't understand why it costs more to buy it duirectly from speedpassion. Anyways if somebody knows of good supplier let me know please. Thanks Mike

So whats the main differences between the Short course Citrix and the Club SPort citrix. THey seem to be the same but your websight doesnt give specs that I can see anywhere.

Edit: Nevermind. See it in the citrix pdf manual.

Socond question, yeah it says 9.5T for the Citrix SCT speedy but has anyrun ran 8.5's? I have a 8.5 Viper motor I would like to use. Or should I just get the 2.0 for twice the amount?

Default SC10 Gearing/Setup

I just installed the Short Course Master in my SC10. Never ran a ESC with timing and with so many options. We are running on a track that is large (Not sure on exact size, but somewhere between a 10th scale and 1/8th scale) Running on dirt (will be dry), medium traction, bumpy. Wondering if someone could give me a starting setup for the esc and gearing options. Running a Novak 17.5 motor, currently have a 87 and 81 tooth spur gear.

Here is a link to videos of the track to get an idea of size and traction.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob
I run 84/23 in my XXXsct with 17.5 V3 with settings on 323 stock pretty much maxed. Pick up a 84 spur for more gearing options. Go with 81 spur in the mean time and maybe 24 pinion. You want your SC to top out at 3/4 mark on the longest straight on the track. I would start with value #3 at max 26 deg. and your DRRS around 7. Check temps after a min or two. Don't let it get over 150F.

The steering servo works normally and the battery is charged. I also cannot reset the speed control. Any ideas?
Let me guess...a NOVAK motor or a ORION motor..?

You are running MOD motor (8.5)...definitely go for something like LPF or GT2.1 ESC...PRO is full mod, you can go up to 2.5 motor...your choice.

Was at the track last night and here is what I came up with in my TLR 22:

ESC: GT2.1 Pro Stock Black Edition

Software: 205mod

Motor - Gearing: V3.0 8.5r - 23/78

Timing on Motor: 10 degrees
_________________________________

Running Mode: (1) Forward with brake

Drag Brake Force: (3) 10%

Low Voltage Cut - Off: (1) None

"DRRS" Start Mode: (5) Level 5

Reverse Force: None

Initial Brake Force: (2) 0%

Netural Range: (1) 6%

"DMTS" Timing: (8) 26.25 degrees

(I am currently working on settings for mod short course)

Hey there,
I love your products ESCs and stuff, ... Super Smooth, easy to use.
I was wondering if the old USB Metal Casing Programmer, works with the new GT2.1 EX.

But gosh yalls New Programming Box took a DUMP !!!
The Sticker Fell off from day one, the button are all goofy.
Not i have this large hole ... sadly i have to say:
I Hate the New Plastic LCD and LED Programmer Boxes.

I am Hunting down the Old Speed Passion Metal USB LCD Programmer.

But before i get my hands on one i wanted to know if its compatible.

The other question is: You state earlier in the threads that the 2.1EX is geared towards 1 cell and World GT Pancars.
I have been using mines in a Touring car 4WD 17.5t and 13.5t for like ever now, and the reason was space i needed the smaller heat sink compared to my 2.0GT and LPFs.

Anybody played around with the new 119Mod in 2wd or 4wd? Just looking for a starting point. Hoping maybe I can gear down a little and use boost/SC functions to keep speed up and temps down as we heat up around here. A few pics of one of the tracks I'll run frequently are attached.

Oh Loook ! Mikes track ! Its Huge !!!
And they extended it just few weeks back also.
You are not the only one that are trying to figure out how to gear and set up the ESC lol thats a Long stretch !!!

Thats like the onroad part of that track, very nice to use turbo LOL but very unforgiving if you crash at those speeds.

LOL. I couldn't make the race on expanded layout last week, but I know where the boundaries were, so got a pretty good idea on size. Gearing for the size isn't the issue, it's gearing for the dang heat we have. It was what, 94 deg and 90% humidity yesterday? My motors have been staying around 165, if I could knock 10 deg or so off that it'd be gravy.
