Because buying a rig setup to somebody else's track is good for everybody?

Cheap kit tires are a good thing, since we all buy tires based on our personal track needs. RTR? No thanks. I enjoy building these things myself. Swaybars included would have been nice, sure...but I'm pretty happy with mine so far.

I would check the front gearbox screws. There are three screws for the front gearbox, two are 24mm and one is 26mm. I accidentally put the 26mm for the lower screw. This caused the screw to come through the other side and bind the front clicker pulley flange 91013, causing unwanted tension. Took me a while to figure out what was binding.... After figuring that out I am very pleased with this truck

What rims other than the AE ones work for this truck?

A new model could be perfect and there will always be someone out there to find something wrong with it. It's just the way people are.

The DE Racing Ten SCTE wheels are confirmed to work, and therefore by association the Ten SCTE stock wheels will work, but you never know.

Ran my truck for the first time today. First time with 4x4's. Now I know I don't have anything to compare it to but, this thing is amazing! Turns better then my 2wd! Running 12/62 with 4.5 turn motor. Came off at 128 every time! Using stock shock oil set up and running 5000wt oil in both diffs. Don't know if I'd want swaybars for my track.

I did have a couple issues. I read quite a few threads back about wheel nuts coming off. Made sure mine were real tight. 2nd lap, both front wheels came off and the other 2 were loose. Replaced with knurled 4m nuts and ran all day with no issues.

Also, motor mount screw washers seem kind of small. Truck landed on nose slightly and pinion/spur engagement was off. Maybe I didn't have them tight enough. I don't know. I just look at my 2wd motor washers and scratch my head why they spec'd smaller ones for a truck with bigger motors?

All in all, I didn't even touch my 2wd today. This truck rips! I'm sure there is going to be issues that will be fixed over time. It's only temporary! Com'n FT Edition.

Also I was wondering why does everyone recommend the 1410 motor over the 1415 motor?

i'm using the de racing rims for the losi scte...fit perfect...or any other zero-offset wheel for that matter...

Does anyone have a picture of the wheel nuts they are using that solves the wheel coming off problem? seems to be a common problem. I dont want this to happen to me if I race it this weekend.

15-20 years ago a lot of things were made in the US that are now made in China. Do you think AE would chooses to make things in China for the hell of it? It is much less expensive. That is why the cars AE sells today are no more expensive than the equivalent models sold 20 years ago. You should know this if you were involved that long ago. Chinese manufacturing is the reason that R/C modeling is as inexpensive as it is.[/QUOTE]

The price of injection machines have came down tremendously and is not that different to have parts made anywhere in the world these days. I don't see tremondous labour in these kits(not sure why you have even assembled some parts as in the end it seems they were assembled poorly). I can't say I know your business at all...all I can say is that my company produces product in every industrialized country in the world and for most components there is not a big difference in price unless you are raking the bottom of quality.

Regardless....great to be back owning an Associated after so long! Kudos to you guys for such a nicely engineered product.

Anyone wanting to run a fan on their motor, I was able to get my 1/10th scale Castle fan to fit on my Tekin SC4x motor, just had to take the tabs off of the fan on the side the wires connect to the motor. Had to kind of snap it in to place once I did this, but I think it will stay put without any zip ties
