I tossed a Traxxas Titan 550 in it and ran it for 1hr on a stand to break it in. Taking it out for the 1st time later today. Tekin 4.5 and LRP TC Spec. Starting at a 13t pinion, some shock oil changes, and diff fluid changes. I made a few passes down the street and then ran in deep gress for 3-4 min and the motor was prob 105 deg.
That looks like a legit swaybar setup! Nice!

I'm using the Novak 5.5 550 , awesome smooth, comes in at 130 degree....
( not too fast for TRCR, maybe a 6.5 for Portland R/c )

Tip
Don't brother trying the 13t as in the manual, go 15T ....

My Novak is bringing me great top end and plenty of power for the jumps....

Set-up

5m washer under ft camber stud & outside on the stud mount on tower.
30W ft
25W R

5000 in both diff

rest of box set-up...

Drives so good I don't what to change it ...
So
Don't worry bout the Bars , I don't want um or need...
Ya, I always run the lightest bars for tracks in our area! I can't wait to see these run!

From post #1 above. The AE turnbuckle wrench is 4mm i believe. (Or am I missing something about threadsize vs tool size?)
Which one is correct?

Sorry guys, but did I miss what the actual sway bar is made of on this setup?
Piano wire?

The proline protrac and the new jconcepts wheels have the right offset for this truck???? I also heard the losi wheels fit but i will probally go with proline.
People, read the first post of this thread, lots of info there.

Perhaps I need to say this once per day so people know?

Looks like you're correct and I got bad info before... I'm still waiting for my kit to verify this stuff myself (it should be here today).

Maybe I was the first Canadian to pick up the SC10 4x4 at 7pm last night!

It is 4mm turn buckel wrench. Like others stated, my diffs had almost no oil in them. Not a big deal opening them up to add oil! Got to bag D before bed... will finish building the truck tonight! Can't wait to race it this Saturday at our local track!

A track in Hamilton got them on Tuesday. I race at the other track, about 10 minutes away though, and couldn't bring myself to buy it from their competitor. Hopefully they will have it in tonight when I go to race my B4.

I don't have the motor/ESC for it anyways so not a big deal. I guess I could put my LRP SPX Stock Spec and X12 10.5 in there for now... not sure how long that speedo will last though.

2nd run on my track. First broken part. Truck landed a little crooked and a ball end on the front suspension tie rod broke. I have not broken a part on my track in a year. Uhhh Hopefully it was a freak thing. I have spares of just about everything but did not get these. I can't remember the last time a ball end broke, if ever.

Any of you guys messed around with the overdrive/underdrive stuff? I had the underdrive pulley in the back, and the rear spacers for the hub carrier in the middle and it was super squirrelly under acceleration. I moved the hub carrier all the way forward and put the standard pulley in and now it is much more hooked up under acceleration.

has anyone had an issue with the rear belt cover (the one that mounts to the motor plate) the belt is touching it on the bottom directly in front of the motor. has anyone else had this problem?

The belt will touch the bottom of all three covers at some point during operation and in some cases the top of them here and there. This is normal and to be expected.

I'm a little worried about my CV joint pins on the rear coming out. The bearing is all that's holding them in and AE doesn't supply enough shims to properly keep the CV from pushing in to where the pin could come out.

Has anyone running the truck had an issue with the CV joint pins coming out? I guess I gotta find some shims to ease my mind.

what is the total thickness you need of shims to hold it in properly?

Can someone explain to me the purpose of the "inner" body mounts?
