The tekin 4.5 is a motor, not a engine.

How is it the same design? Just because it uses a belt doesn't mean it's the same. The MIP conversion doesn't even have a front gearbox.

Sweet thanks, I'll try both motors out the 2400kv 1415 and the 3800kv 1410 and see which I like better..........

If someone says youa re running to many RPM's and that is causing you to overheat, that is not right. If you have heat issues you should lower the pinion size not increase it.
If esc is at 100 and the motor is at 170 then go up a couple teeth. Then the temps would be more like 125esc/140motor. Also make sure your battery has a high enough c rating to do the job. I noticed your in Texas so I assume temps are mostly on the high side, so what works in WA may be a mistake in Texas.

+1

They are both belt driven, nothing else is different. Suspension geometry is different, motor mount is in a different location which changes the weight balance along with mounting of all other components. People need to stop comparing the old MIP conversion to this thing. They're worlds apart.

I'm feeling the same way you are, I have 5 other AE rc's but have to admit after seeing a dialed losi... I almost bought the sc10 4x4 lastnight but couldn't push the button. The losi I saw was bone stock roller with bar codes and ballistic 4.5 and it was putting down some of the fastest laps I've seen at my local track. So sick!

I need to see this truck winning some races and not rolling over all the time, why didn't they include sway bars, kinda dumb if you ask me for a truck the pro's can't seem to keep of four wheels. I still haven't lost faith but I need some more convincing before I buy one.

Some people don't see the similarity between a diesel submarine & a nuclear
submarine. Thats just the way life is. No worries guys, it's all good...

Why not get someone else to film the truck so he could drive it better, to me this video makes the truck not look that good.
