They will technically "fit", but you will be about a half inch too wide due to the different offset and you might need to bore out the hole for the axle. If you trim the body enough and just use them for practice there's nothing stopping you from using your current 4wd slash wheels. Just don't expect anyone to let you race with them.

Tearing all assembled parts down is my plan.... but does the kit include extra 3000wt diff oil? or should I just go buy 5000?
2 of the 3 sc10 2wds RTRs I've torn down had assembly problems, so I would not trust the quality control on these diffs either.

You need to buy the diff oil you want to use, none in the kit. Atleast none
in the kits I've seen here.

jimmy are you racing at hobbytown on sunday? if so if i get my kit done ill bring it if i have questions. cant wait to pick the sc10 up from hobbytown.
any recommendations on a pinion size for a lrp x125.5 540can? on my jammin i ran a 11 tooth with the stock spur and never overheated so im hoping as this truck is lighter i wont over heat. i also have a 6.5 i want to test in this truck as well.

So I shouldn't use a 4.5t motor? Do I need to get a 8.5t motor?

I'm not sure about a 5.5 540. The lowest turn we have had "0" problems with is 7.5.

You might want to reconsider doing that. My buddy (team driver) decided
to look inside his diffs before installing them and found just enough 3000wt
diff lube to coat the gears. He had to fill his diffs.
I know I'll be checking mine before installing them..

2. some have said the Team Associated DS1015 servo wire isn't not long enough to reach the radio box and some have said it is
could we get a definite answer, i would like to ask for a picture as proof but i know the truck has wire organization channels that cover it all up (any ideas on how to make the answer reliable?)

go based on the Kv of the motor. If I recall correctly novaks 4.5 is a 5000Kv motor stock, if you get one that has the 14mm rotor option, it drops down to 3850Kv .
For those looking for pinion recommendations, you may find using the following calculator useful especially if you already have a vehicle and know what speeds are good at your track.

You can then backtrack based on the speeds you find to determine what pinion gear range to start with.
So for example out here for me the 35mph - 40mph range works well. As I am going to be running a Novak Ballistic 550 4.5 with the 14mm rotor which is 3850kv. puts me in a range of about 16T - 19T 32p pinions with the 62T stock spur.
I do have question, for those using the DS1015 servo, from the pics I have seen of the vehicle, can you guys elaborate as to why it won't reach without an extension the receiver? does the location of the servo have you going around various parts?

Just my experience with 4x4 SC's we ran 6.5 540 and they ran really hot and lacked enough torque. We jumped up to an 8.5 and had good success. We eventually went to a 7.5 and shortly after installed a 13mm rotor and found a great combination. We have always run the Tekin RS Pro. Though I must say that with 550's the Tekin ran a bit hot.
