You don't plug anything into the sensor port. You run it unsensored.

1700 is still a good choice. 1900 is about ideal for almost everything. But you will need to run a larger pinion like stated. If you still want to try a 1900, you can usually find a slightly used one for around $100-$110. It's always good to have a spare anyway.

TBH, I have not read all 355 pages so please forgive me, but do you think I made a mistake with the 1700?

After doing the math on a gearing calculator, if I go up to a 16 tooth pinion, it says, the speed will be the same with less of an amp draw then the 1900 with a 15 tooth. Is this an option?
Sorry, don't want to hijack the thread.
Thanks!

If you guys in the snow region had indoor tracks, you would make a killing. I race indoor in the winter, they have 80-100 race entries on the weekends. $20 first class $10 second class. Over half run more than one class. Do the math on that. And that's some serious scratch over the month.

good point there are a ton of people that run here in ohio too but some weekends are not that great and others its packed
the first few weeks of out door season here will be crazy then it will die down for a while then back up towards the end of summer again then we go into fall and the indoor season again.
taking the buggy out tomorrow night for some practice laps going to see how my newer servo holds out with all metal gears

As far as the leaking diff with plastic spur I just had this issue problem solved with threebond 1196 semi drying liquid gasket. In the motorcycle world its used to seal center cases together. Works awesome, same as yamabond
