Those are excellent closed cell inserts great for loose and bumpy tracks, aka went with lateral grooves with newer style inserts gives better flex.

Had a question about what base setup should I start with at the shocks with the 8 x 1.3 FT pistons.

Also in the manual they never say how long the shocks should be from eyelet to eyelet to get the maximum droop setting, does anyone know that number.

Thanks, new FT RC8Be owner!

So I'm still having trouble tracking down some good batteries. The Gen Aces are out of stock as are the Blues. I know some people use turnigy but I just worry that the 35c won't be enough. People also suggested Venoms but just heard terrible things about their packs. I wouldn't mind using Maxamps but last time I spent a bundle on their batteries (I rationalized that it was worth it to buy quality) I wasn't impressed at all with their batteries. I'm on the waitlist for SMC's 4s but if anybody else has any suggestions let me know.

If not, do people have any luck using two 2s packs? Just seems clumsy to me, but I guess it will have to do if there are no good 4s available in the short term.

I got it all together today. I have to admit I was a little scared when I plugged up the batteries and turned the switch.

I havent gotten my lipos yet but it ran pretty good off my 2 nimh packs from my starter box. Hopefully the lipos will get here Monday or Tuesday so I can cycle them a couple times before the race next weekend.

Default How the heck did I do that!!?

I was taking the rear hub carriers apart for cleaning and what not and noticed I broke an outer hinge pin in half. How does that happen? The hub carrier isn't broke. Weird stuff.... Has this happened to anyone else? I am still finding small things wrong with the buggy from my first track run. They actually got rid of that triple jump. Turns out my buggy wasn't the only one taking abuse from it!!

Took 2730mah out of a 5s 4400 on a 1400kv in a 15 minute main. Small track with 27-30sec lap times. Geared at 22/46 and came off at 160F motor and 140F ESC. Toooooo smooth!
I tell you this for reference!

LOL: this post # for me is my area code: 512

I have never seen titanium solve anything other than weight. It snaps easier than the steel ones.
