Team Associated RC8Be Thread

I'm in Australia, my parents are in houston for the next 3 weeks on business, they are happy to pick up a RC8BE kit for me while there, i just need to know where to send them, ie which hobby shop. but it sounds like i'm going to be out of luck if every one is on waiting lists!
Can anybody suggest where i should tell them to go? They are staying on SAGE ROAD in the Galleria District. the closer to there the better. Otherwise any ideas of a on-line store that will ship to australia?

Easy Pay is only for US and Canada. But they have $50 off coupon codes if you become a super saver club member for $9.99.
If you want, I will call Tower Hobbies for you and ask how much shipping to Perth is. Since I know it would cost me nothing to make the call. They might ask for more specific city info like a city code to deliver too. Just PM it to me, I will call for you.

I don't think Tower would do it, but you might ask if they'd ship to a hotel? I didn't offer that option, as I'm guessing Tower won't do it. Too much of a fraud risk.

Yep, I just got mine in the mail the other day and the top plate is in fact included. At least with the inner model.

The Center diff. leaks :-(
Did the sanding, I know I got all the burrs off. By the way it was sitting off the car (on it's side with resting naturally)......... the leak I have no clue where it came from, but at this point it has to be that damn gasket.
Anyone have a part number for these? I can't remember the models you can use. Kyosho / Mugen? Yes, I know that associated has the new clear gasket if you order it right from the manual, but I kinda wanted to grab it locally and not wait on the shipping and wanted some options.
Thanks guys.

Is this the Gasket you used Billy? I found one of your posts from early January for the Mugen Gasket.
If so I'll grab this.

Can someone measure the screw they're using to secure the servo horn to the servo? Some how I lost mine, and the manual says it's an M3 x 18mm. So, like a dummy, that's what I bought. It's obviously way too long, so I bought 10mm and 12mm long screws. Both of those are too long too!! I'm thinking it's 8mm, but before I go buy another screw, I thought I'd check here.

Beautiful weather here today. I'd love to go out to the track, but I have too much stuff to do here, and I'm taking the wife out tonight for Valentine's Day. Too bad we're both sick, but it'll still be a fun night.

BTW, you don't realize just how handy your Dremel is until you loan it out to someone.

Mines ready to race right now or I would measure really quick. It's loc-tited in too. I'll do it as soon as I can for you. It's really small though. Like 5-6mm. You have a savox too though. So it may be different.

And I pile it all in my trunk and back my car up to the table and offload. But I'm going to be looking at pit bags today. Looks like that's what most people have. To go cheap, some use the 6 gallon milk crates. The ones that hold 6 in rows of 3. One guy has a laundry basket. Lol

Oh yeah, I didn't think of that. I Rubbermaid tote with a cover might work nicely. I have a bunch of them in my garage and use them for storage. I also use them a lot at the track, as you can put liquid containers in them (oil, brake fluid, window cleaner, etc) and if something leaks it doesn't get everywhere.
Do you guys usually leave your stuff unattended or do you have something that locks and you put all the valuable stuff in there when you're on the driver's stand?
