The burning question is, is it milled out for the center diff like the stocker? some of us, namely Billy and I have removed our center diff risers.

The fitment is good. I transfered from the team chassis to the SNR chassis in under 30min, but I have an electric driver. Things to note are you don't use the gearbox gasket, which is no big deal since the fit is good, I haven't seen any extra dirt or dust collecting in the gearboxes (and I run on a track with a loose top layer).

The sides are not bent up, since that would make manufacturing a carbon chassis extremely difficult, but the body still covers the mudgaurds. I use velcro between the mudgaurds and body to further secure the body. If you really want, you can take a heat gun to the mudgaurds and but a slight bend in them.

Lastly, if you PM snrscion, he may be willing to cut the center diff cutout. He's been known to make custom stuff

The way the SNR chassis is now, it only has the cutouts required for electric only.

You know for the amount of torque that these buggy motors are putting out, going lighter is not your friend to keeping that power to the ground. I have a buddy that lightened everything out on his mugen and he went back to all the steel stuff because it keep the wheels planted so much better.

Slow day today.

Got in contact with a friend of mine that I lost contact with a few years ago. Turns out he races 1/8 electric offroad, so he's going to help show me the ropes.

FINALLY got the face plates in today. They look awesome. I was worried about the connector cutouts, and it turns out I was right. I didn't clearance them enough so the connectors won't go through the holes. I'll have to use a file and get a little more clearance the connectors can pass through them. No big deal, though.

It is a little slow today isn't it. I have everything I need for my buggy. Except maybe a carbon chassis.

Hey bud. Yeah, I'm running 4S and it's a lot heavier. The Black springs just don't seem to work with the stock setup. I'll have to switch to silver.
Haven't had a chance to run it yet. Thursday will be the night, provided it's not too cold.

I have no problem getting to 30mm with the stock springs and a Gen Ace 4S or Zippy 6S battery. To get down to 28mm, I have to run the collars almost all the way to the top, though.

I got my DE parts in today.

Mud flaps dont seem loose at all like some people had commented.

The skid bump is a nice addition, and the rear skid plate, well i just like the looks of rear skid plates =P

Yeah, my dirt shields/mud flaps/whatever they call them are pretty secure. I didn't like how they looked at first, but after running with them a couple of times, I can tell that they're 100% functional, and work quite well!

I also like the DE bumper much more than the stock bumper. Having the skid plate built in is nice!

I was thinking about what Gregg said, and I think I've pretty much bought all the parts I want for mine. I wouldn't mind the CF chassis, but I'd want something with a pocket milled out for the stock spur gear. Plus, I think the stock chassis is just fine for me.

Other than that, I just need track time. I may buy that Reedy battery, but I have 3 Gen Ace batteries that I think will work just fine for me (for now at least!).

I would like to find the source of the play that I'm finding in the stub axles. I'm 99% sure it's the bearings. If so, I sure wouldn't mind trying some high end bearings like Acer or Boca...

I added the B44.1 to the cart at Tower, then it tells me I've exceeded my allowable easy pay purchases. ok well it's their loss. Maybe I just have to wait for a few to drop off. Or is that it for the year? That would suck.

I had a similar issue when I first got my RC8BE. I opted for the OFNA yellows in the rear in lieu of the AE silvers. The yellows are in between the blacks and silvers from AE and offered the ride I was looking for. I also run 10 hole GHEA pistons and from there the car was planted.
