I need a nut driver set the AE set includes standard and metric, do I need both or will a metric set from another brand work for the RC8? Is there a listing somewhere of what sizes are used for the kit the instruction only say the thread diameter not the size of the nuts.

I have a set of old school Dynamite metric hex drivers (the red ones) from back in 1999 or 2000. My son uses them now.
The hexes show some wear, but still work perfectly (I have yet to strip a hex, knock on wood!).

I probably won't order until next week though.I just got done running the Gen Ace in front of my house. I did a bunch of high speed passes and some pretty hard driving. Only one light on the ESC, the motor was a tad warm, and the battery was hardly warm. So far so good. Felt like plenty of power. I was expecting it to be quite a bit slower compared to 6S, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Still plenty of power to spin all four tires on concrete!
So far, I have 3 Gen Ace 4S packs, 1 5S Zippy pack, and 1 6S Zippy pack. I'm not sure what to do with the 5S pack. I don't see myself running it much, if any, going forward. Anyone want it?
I'll probably order the Reedy pack and maybe another 6S.The 4S is almost more fun to drive because the car is more controllable under WOT!

I can't wait to get out to the track after things dry up around here!

Anyone else notice what feels like better steering response under throttle after installing a power cap? I installed one last night, and it felt better under power, however I was running 4S instead of 6S, so maybe the better steering feel was due to less spinning of the tires!

I need to get a 6S pack just to tinker around with. I will get a Reedy pack, might pull trigger today. $139 is a hell of a deal considering the smaller Reedy pack is $199.
The 4S is pretty good. Looking at YouTube videos the 6S pack was showing about 30mph better in the speed tests. That's significant.
"anyone want it" if you're giving it away. Lol sign me up!

I plan on buying one, just because I want to see if there's a difference between it and the Gen Ace.

Lots of good info here!!! AWESOME!
I do have a quick question, could someone tell me the name of the carbon fiber spur gear cover or where I can scoop one up at? I've done some searching, but not sure if I'm calling it the right thing. I'm still waiting on my MM 2200kv combo and my 4S Gen Ace pack to arrive! I Can't wait!
THANKS SO MUCH!

It's a center top plate. It came with the original run of rc8's. I did a quick search and could only find the plastic one that came with the rc8be kit and the king headz version. If u have the time, type center top plate into ur searches.
