Jbrow1, Thanks for starting this thread in 2009. Its nice to answear posts on threads started by others,

Thanks Monty, Your the best!!!

Pretty much wraped everything up here today, leaving only a few things on the itinenary for tomorrow. This week-end off No I'm not moving here, lol. But I will be flying back sometime in March.

Glade my process' with improved surface finish conditions and new designed fit accuracy works well for you and your customers. No quick pinch and ship service here

I am not missing the snow in Western New York

Faan,
Yes, Although I do not use same resizing procedure as with ABC construction. I serviced quit a few Siorio's 3-4 years ago, with much fewer lately. Engine model popularity is very trendy as everyone knows. Nonetheless, my reconditioned-resized AAC constructed piston + sleeve sets have been with very good results. Good question you asked. I'd like to think this thread was started to ask resizing questions. Thank You!

Kind regards,

Ray

If I may ask, what is different? The Tooling or the procedure? I would think that the tooling should be same - just the pressure applied should be less since one is pinching aluminum and not brass. right?

Monty,
I still don't know about quick, LOL. Piston + Sleeve sets remain on my work bench 1-2 days for complete processing along with final Inspections before return shipped. If I don't feel the new designed fit is in that sweet spot, I open the sleeve (as done with the many over pinches sent us weekly) and get it just right. Ofcourse with my being the creator of RayAracing resizing tooling I am going to be better tooled than anyone in the industry.

FaamP, You are more than welcome and encouraged to ask. Aluminum and brass based sleeves are two entirely different animals. Additional tooling is used to assist with closing and opening procedure the more stoburn aluminum sleeves. Very similar to the berlinium based sleeves on the rc market 8 or 9 years back. but not as tough. Again, we see very few of either lately.

Great I'm there when you need me. Remember, I am tooled to Recondition-Resize ALL car, truck, buggyy, and truggy engine models .12 thru .46. If you search one of the GO threads I remember one of the engine moders sending me a airplane engine model that did quite well in Australia race competition

Remember guys, Got a question call text or email me or post here on RCTECH

Kind regards
