Viper RC -
I have found more than once,on different brands, not being able to communicate when the esc is plugged into the receiver. try that too. Make sure the vehicle is off the ground b4 applying power, just in case.... failsafe should keep motor from spinning but you never know....
Viper was the original brand that became Maclan. All newer versions are done under Maclan Racing. That 2100 was a nice strong motor.... still running mine. On and off for about 4 years.
All the leds flash rapidly, but nothing is overheating! Confused and wanna try a reset, but don't wanna waste $20 on a data link if I can't find firmware hehehe.

This is nice to know (the viper to maclan), I never knew, I like the VTX10Rblack (the couple of times that I've used it) for the absolute beast that it is, and the 32 bit resolution?(if I'm not off there) smoothness and dial-ability of the Maclan mmax 160 pro. The only two I've considered keeping out of the various brands that will go off with cars I sell : )
Best post I've read in quite some time : )

Does anybody know what the difference is between the VTX10 and the VTX10 Black Edition? I know the standard one is rated for up to 3s and the black edition is 2s only but they seem to be completely identical other than that.
