Default JConcepts Punisher body for RC8Be

Did a search on here but didn't see this posted anywhere. Has anyone tried to use the JConcepts RC8B Punisher body on their RC8Be? Will it fit with a 4S battery under the hood?

I can't find a body made specifically for the E version anywhere which makes me think that anything for the RC8B will work for the RC8Be version.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks. . . Matt

This isn't the punisher body, but it is made by JConcepts for the RC8Be. I have two of them and they look and work great.

Has anyone tried the ghea "magic" shock pistons yet? I just got them and I'm curious what weight oil people are using with them.

I ran them at the 1/8 electric nationals...they were good on Norcal's track surface. I haven't tried them at ocrc or wcrc yet. I ran 40wt front and rear with those pistons.

I've run the punishier body and it hits the top front of the battery just a smidge.

Sweet !! I just picked up a nice new custom painted one on here for $55 shipped. I have an RC8B nitro too, so I figured worse case scenario I'd just use it on my Nitro but I really wanted it for my electric.

I can paint my own bodies, but nothing like what I just picked up. The custom pain guys are utterly amazing, true artists

Wease, you picked up a proline bulldog body, not a jconcepts punisher. I know because I eyed that beauty up myself. I believe Mayfield won the nats with a punisher on his rc8be, but I could be mistaken.

Yeah he had the punisher, but it could have been for the be... He does get prototypes.

I have plenty of room between the top of the battery (and everything else) in my RC8Be with a Punisher body. I posted a pic of it back on page 2. I could easily go up to a 5S pack and still not have clearance issues.

I also own the JConcepts Illuzion body for the RC8B nitro version, and it fits above a 4S Turnigy with less than a 1/8" clearance. I personally like that body best; it may be my next body, if I don't switch cars.

Who? I saw a WTB add for one, but that was a couple days ago. And I can't sell it immediately, because I have these gear ratios to test out, and a race next weekend. But if I did sell it, I was thinking of replacing it with either a Hyper 9e or a 808e. The 9e's innovative design I like, but I also drool over the Xray's quality... decisions decisions. Now's not the time to ponder that, though. Man is happiest when he is content with what he has in his hands.

for those with the elite mount did you have to cut the top piece to get the spur to spin freely? i definitely had to cut mine!! and the screws provided worked except for the 2 bottom ones. i dont have a hex nor ball driver to fit that size! so i just used the stock bolts. you would think after spending 75.00 that they would tell you this prior to purchace!! or provide the top piece that actually fits!! but im satisfied fir the simple fact that you can mesh and remove the motor in a cinch!!

I didn't get mine new; it came with a truggy that I have since sold. But the owner of that truggy used the stock screws, as have I on my buggy.
