Messed with the front bushings yesterday at TA.

I tried Tony's setup, .5 up in front and .5 down on back plate. On the dry, high bite track it did not feel that good. For my driving style, it felt very inconsistent, hard to drive. I then changed the back plate back to the 0 bushing and left the front .5 up. It was better than the previous one, It still had a ton of steering, it was somewhat consistent, felt like on exit it would want to spin out on me though. Lap times were decent. I went back to my standard setup with 0 bushing front and rear. That setup felt the best to me. It was easy to drive in the corners, consistent steering from entering the corner to exit. Lap times were the best out of all 3 setups.

I will be trying a few more things thursday morning. Still want to go the opposite way, I thought I saw Vega had .5 down in the front and .5 up in the rear, not 100% sure. I also want to play with anti/rear toe to see how it affects the car. Other than that my setup feels really good and works just about everywhere.

This is what I have changed recently.

2.3 front swaybar
+2 toe out
-2 camber front/rear
rear camber link- low on tower, outside on hub (long)
rear hubs- middle

Shocks: front- 1.3x8 hole, 40 wt, stock grey springs.
rear- 1.2x8 hole, 35 wt, medium white, blue dot spring. Agama

Your track it would be alot better taking kickup out.... its too smooth I think I remember seeing the same thing on one of his sheets

nothing out here stays smooth for long, I like the kickup in the rough stuff. seems to track straight through the bumps and mellows out the steering. Taylor suggested that and add alittle anti in the rear and my car came right around on that blown out track

Ok next run out for me is gero and i'm going to be running my ghea 1.35 tapered pistons with the same oils as for springs i'm not to sure but will see as i have the hyper 9 big bore spring kit if i need to change..

Just one question if i want to take away steering would lifting my front camber like up one hole on the shock tower do this or not as i've hear some conflicting answer about it thanks.

There are a few options to reduce steering.

- Raise your front camber link to upper hole on tower.
- Leave it on middle hole on tower, go outside hole on caster block.
- Raise front ride height.

Have fun in Gero Brett! I remember last year - the mighty D8s we ran - and what unreliable pieces of crap they were! LOL

Ok thanks for that Levi will try them soon as this car has so much steering i feel like its over rotating but a lot of fun to drive in all....

Thanks Marz i think i'm going with a better car then last time as it will do more that i want it to but still can't knock the d8 i went from start to finish no problems and i did make my first 'a'main with it and the mighty go-tech (old trusty). Going to be a lot harder to get there on this time but going to do my best and have a blast...
