Tips
Hello guys,
I thought i should share some tips for the TCX building with you guys.
1. Front Sway bar Holder
When you install the sway bar holder on the bulkheads, I recommend you to shave the fitted groove a little bit for better sway bar fit especially for larger size such as 1.2mm and 1.3mm. Please see a picture attached. Without doing this, it might be too tight for those sway bars.
2. Recommendation of 46mm drive shafts
The kit comes with black composit diff outdrives. We will also have aluminum diff outdrives but with using those composit diff outdrives, you will be able to use the 46mm drive shafts in the rear as well. 46mm drive shafts don't fit with the option aluminum outdrives as they require to use with the plastic pin blades. Those composit outdrives are very strong and durable enough to use in modified racing. And the main benefit is that we can use 46mm drive shafts in the rear.

I do not have a TCX yet, but looking forward to get me one.
Can someone please tell me the measure between the two bearings of a diff?

Had some more track time with the TCX last night. Its getting better and each adjustment I made seemed to go in the right direction. Should get to race it properly next week
Just a quick note: Don't get as lazy as me! If your running the soft flex setting, check the remaining top deck screws for the lower bulkheads after each run. I found the screws for the rear ones were loosening themselves slightly. I caught one of them half way undone

I have a small flathead screw driver that can fit in the outdrive. Once the slot of the screw is visible and inline with the opening of the outdrive, I can place the screw driver in and turn the other wheel. Just need a small jeweler type driver. I thought the shank of a 1.5 hex driver would work also... I will look at that in the morning.

Hehe didnt think to say Im running 46mm rear shafts, so its hard to get to the screw on a angle because theres not much space and the screw head seems too far in on mine.

You're complaining about something that only takes a few seconds to do? Really?
How often are you messing with the tightness of the diff, anyways? It's trivial to set the correct tension when you build the diff - you can then check the tightness once every race day...
The only time I change the tension on the diff is when I rebuild it, which is, due to the quality of the diff and the materials therein, about 2, maybe 3 times a season.

Are you sure that Tamiya dogbones fit?
If this is the case, the Spec R double joint dogbones for Tamiya could dit too... So we don't have to wait on Hotbodies to produce new DCJ...
