Chassis is not slapping and ride height is fine. Someone last night explained it to me after watching my truck run.

If it is kicking up really badly, it is most likely that the back of the chassis is slapping. It is possible for a too stiff rear end to cause a slight downward attitude in the air, but not as serious as you described. How old are your shock springs? Shocks springs do wear out over time.

Spring are pretty new. The chassis is not slapping the ground. I was thinking a lighter oil in the rear might help. Maybe I made it seem worse than it was, sorry.

lighter shock oil will make the rear end more sprung.

Looking for a place to view body off pictures of radio tray layouts. Battery wires breaking has become problematic for some reason. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Thanx guys.

Are you routing your wires close to the spur gear?

Anyone had problems with the front dog bones popping out?? Last weekend before my main, was warming up my truck on my starter box, and noticed the front tires shake very badly, after looking carefully noticed that the dog bones was going to pop out, quick fix with the droop screw, but five minutes into to the main it popped out....any ideas??? checked the bearings they're good, diff cups checked ok.....

Bent hinge pin is usually the culprit.

Air8,

Are they breaking in the battery box itself? I put a little extra foam around the battery to keep it from bouncing around too much. then just run the wires in the designated spot. Good Idea to put some tape on your plug for a long main on a really rough track like omaha was!

Thanx for the pic. Nah I dealt with broken batteries last year. So they are all wrapped with foam this year. Now the issue seems to be the connectors. I use the black plugs like a receiver uses. The wires are breaking right at the back of the connector, which is outside of the boxes and not near any moving parts. I think off road is causing them to move up and down and just break the wires over time. I might have too much extra wiring, but I didn't want to make them short and stretch the wires.

If you look at the plugs there in Danny B's picture my wires break at the back of the plug. But my plugs sit up in the air higher than his. They don't rest on the mud guard.

What battery? I've found a couple packs that have, imo "good" wire. The Reedy 1600 pack and the muchmore 1500 pack have a thicker, silicon wrapped wire. the Reedy cell quality may be a little suspect...bought two packs, one was junk the other was good. Buying NIMH packs is tough cause shelf life is not great.

I have been very happy with the Muchmore packs, just like all there stuff they seem to be great quality for a little extra $$$.

My former LHS only stocked Venom 1600's I ran those a lot, cell quality and life was good but the wires and connectors were below par.
