yes nick thanks. i started doing this before the 10 degree caster blocks came out, thanks to Billy Fisher. I didnt like to run the alum spindles due when i changed the bearings out the bearings would have such a tight fit i had a very hard time taking them out. When Billy told me at nitro challenge he ran the plastic spindles but dremeled out i tired it and i love it, it gave me just a little more turn it but enough to make it worth it. btw im still on the same spindles as when i dremeled it.

btw i had that setup in a pdf if ppl are having a hard time seeing it, converting it to jpeg took a lot of quality away. Email me if u want it [email protected]

Default Old vs New Diff cups

How do you tell them apart? My stock 2.0 has a silver looking washer made in to the cup. I have another diff cup that does not. The out sides also look like they are made different.

The outsides are different. The old ones are completely round on the end where the ring gear goes. The new ones have sort of "cut outs" around the outside. You can see bits of the blue paper gasket on the new ones when assembled. Don't know if that makes any sense.

I think he's talking about the steel insert that is molded into the plastic diff cup where the bearing/outdrive rides. Some are silver, some are black. That's the only difference I know of with that piece.

Correct, silver is on the new style cup and the black is on the old style on the two I have right here.

Whats the difference, between the 10 and the 12 degree inclined spindle sets. For the 2.0 truggy Is one better for slicker tracks?? thanks for any info. 1 of my friends runs the 12 degree and loves them .

12 degree spindle carriers have 12 degrees of caster. 10 degree carriers have 10 degrees of caster. More caster will decrease off power steering entering a corner, and increase on power steering mid corner and exit. Less caster will increase off power steering entering a corner, and decrease on power steering mid and exit. The 12 degree carriers will smooth out the off power turn in and provide a bit more on power steering. 10 degree carriers(Stock caster) will make the steering more responsive and increase off power turn in.
