I have bent a few on my truck and am now using M2C hardened hinge pins.

X2 bent Hingepin is normally what causes this.

PS JAMMINKRAZY, Thx for taking care of thing's while i was gone. Long weekend of racing and IM BEAT.

Re sticky carbs.....a 1200g lapping compound will help tremendously on the carb barrel and very importantly the Idle screw(they do get Notched over time from the barrel)....thing's get scratched up on the inside when they work back and forth Over and Over and Over again....Also as its been said the linkage is also part of the issue...if your not pulling level and strait your gonna have carb issues.

Quick question on the V2 tower. Dose the handling difference come from the shorter camber link, outer roll center or a combo of both? I've seen some guys run the V1 tower with the camber link in the A position in the hub. Will it still have the same effect as the V2 tower?

As far as the camber link setup goes, running the new outer hole on the tower and the B hole on the hub is very similar to running the inner hole on the tower with the A hole on the hub. I've been running that setup on my truck for a LONG time now. I REALLY like this setup.

You do have to remember though, that the V2 tower also adds an additional shock mounting hole further out. That by itself makes a huge difference in the way the truck drives through bumps and lands jumps. I've got the KHZ V2 tower which doesn't have the additional camber link locations, so all I did when switching to the V2 tower was to stand the shocks up one hole. Big difference indeed.

Thanks Jammin. I initially thought it was the difference in the roll center affected that affected truck. Right now I'm running the KHZ V1 tower using the outermost hole. I got to try the set-up next time I go out.

The KHZ V1 outer hole is equivalent to the losi V1 outer hole. Just so you know it does NOT have the added outer hole. The 4th hole that it has is on the inside.

The roll center change does make a huge difference. But the shock position does as well.

Yeah, I was thinking of picking up the V2 just for that reason. I drove one with the V2 set-up and it was so dialed.

Hey Jammin, What setup are you going to use in C-bus at the state fair race? I saw that you signed up for it. Should be a good time

I will be heading there with my standard setup. We'll see how it works. I'll make changes if needed, but that's VERY rare. It works just about everywhere.
