Go-Tech Engines Thread
Hey BoxHead
i was up at 6 am this morning to catch the Carroll Shelby special on the Shelby Cobra Concept, a 6.4 L V10 in a car that weighs under 1400 kg ... thats gotta be worth bringing a spare set of undies ! ... It was an awesome Docco ! What a buzz that must be to drive a piece of racing history !

The car you are reffering to is code named "Daisey", Ford have canned the idea of making it, but an Aussie kit supplier does them, it uses a current model Falcon (engine, gearbox, front and rear suspension, brakes, driveline, dash and wiring etc) as a donor, so if you buy a write off then you can get into one at a pretty good price.
Here is the supplier.

This is the replica.

Hey guys thinking about getting a go tech and was wondering if the mg66 is available in the us or do i have to order it from aus. or will a regular gx-5r be good enough to push a d8t around? the track we built here is rather large and the other track we race on is a pretty big track as well so should i go with the 5 or 7 port mill ? thanks

Hope you noticed but on the 'base' model we've removed the spare rod and bearing to help lower the pricing. I also just listed the MG66RR that might appeal to you if you value your time and would like to know the motor is broken in correctly.

Yes four gallon cases. I should be able to hold the line on price + shipping for the next few months. Ironically I live near the folks mixing the fuel for Mark so that help reduce the overall costs so it's not shipped twice.

Hey guys... in case you havent read already:
Go Engine USA would like to congratulate Ryan Lopez and Matt Sistrunk on commanding performances in the first round of the 2010 RC Pro South series. Ryan and Matt battled it out with the south’s top drivers in both pro buggy and pro truggy with Ryan qualifying third in pro buggy. Both Matt and Ryan managed to qualify for the a-main in pro truggy, with Ryan qualifying 3rd and Matt bumping up from the b-main, in his first regional race as a pro. Ryan managed to fight it out and hold on to a 3rd place podium finish in truggy and a 2nd place finish in buggy, despite a bent upper a-arm. Both Ryan and Matt were using the Go GX-5R with EFRA 2072 combos. Also deserving mention is Lee Jones, who TQ’d and won intermediate buggy with the Go GX-3R. Stellar performances all-around for the Go Engine USA team at round 1 of the RC Pro South Series!
