Basically you are lean on top and rich on bottom. Most likely this is because your idle gap is set too big and that fools the LSN setting too rich which you compensate by leaning too much on HSN. This ofcourse in case you've checked that tank is OK

got a question. i have a go .28 6 port and its got about 3/4 to 1 gallon on it now but my question is where should the temp be on this engine i have been tuneing it bt proformance but if i do that the temp is 290 to 320 but it is blowing smoke al the way threw. im just wanting to know if there is something im doing wrong or if thats where they like to run or what

hey what are you guys running for temps on your go's. i got the 7 port no restictor and i did the pinch thing with the lsn so im shutting down at 7 seconds(that is while cold) and than i got my hsn set good but im running like 200 and thats going fast and hard. lots of high speed

There are so many variables in what temp an engine runs at - fuel type, plug type, pipe, ambient temp, height above sea level, track conditions etc, etc.
If it's running well and making good power with good smoke right through the rev range then it's a happy motor - the temp is irrelevant. Some engines will run best a little cooler, and some will run much warmer. Don't compare temps and tune to someone elses motor. Most times your tune will be off doing this.
Massive Mods has the best advice for temp gun use. His answer will be to hit it very hard with a hammer, then tune by sight, sound and performance. It's good advice.
its funny you said that i had a jammin .21 and that thing ran temps at 300 320 but it had blue smoke ...it bug the hell out me so i ran it a season and til this day the compression is crazy strong
Grizz is 100% right..........an engine runs at a certain temp when tuned properly.
Change fuel, plug, air temp, humidity, elevation, or one of any other variables, and it will run at different temp. My R21 5 port runs 260F (in my 6T truggy) when tuned well. In a different truggy it might get more, or less, air flow, causing a different temp. Change gearing? Quite possibly a different temp.
Make sure it has good smoke. Set the low speed screw acurately and it will run like a ***** ape. Pre-warming before starting will give you longer engine life.
Pre-warming will lessen the pinch, causing less wear than a cold start.

I HAVE BEEN TUNEING BY EAR MORE AND MORE BUT I STILL WOULD CHECK THE TEMP, JUST SOMETHING I HAVE DONE, BUT IT JUST KINDA WORRIED ME ABOUT THAT IN THE 300 RANGE AND ITS STILL A LITTLE FAT ON THE BOTTOM BUT IT STILL HAS ALOT OF COMPRESION SO I GUESS ILL HAVE TO QUIT WORRING SO MUCH

The simple answer is "don't worry about the temperature".

+1
check your throttle linkage and rotate the arm on the throttle itself, as necessary. The linkage should be perfectly left to right between the servo arm and the throttle ball-end. I've noticed this most on Losi, but others do it as well.
well managed to get 8 tanks through the MG66 with the new PRS before the weekend so I took it racing on sunday anyway..YAY it's good to ahve my baby back again..the MM5 7 port is OK but it's just not my MG
anyway running hellish rich and never more than half throttle I was only 3 seconds a lap slower than the fastest guy anyway so had a great day till my 2010 xray destroyed a front bulkhead bearing and went 2 wheel drive..the track was one I'd never raced at before and is literaly cut into the side of a hill so I spent half a lap struggling to climb the steep sections then the centre diff housing melted and seized all 4 satellite gears solid and I got proper rear wheel drive back so at least finished 6th..
check this...and it's a lot steeper than it looks in the pics

forgot to mention it rained in the morning qualifying and turned the track slick and muddy which was difficult for driving but way worse for marshalling...Man I almost went myself but I watched a dozen guys slide down the slopes on their butts trying to turn cars over again ..Muahaha
