Also, I have Byron's 25% gen2 race fuel now, but do you think 30% would be better for this engine both have 11% oil or wouldn't I even notice a differance?

BTW, don't forget to recharge your receiver battery while breaking the engine in. I almost had a runaway this morning on an LiFePO4 battery. I normally recharge after four tanks, but seven tanks (plus 1.5 before the case broke two weeks ago) is almost 75 minutes of runtime and equals intermittent connection. Luckily I wasn't at full throttle when it decided to go.

The 1400mah pack took a 1100mah balance charge.

I never use my radio when I break-in my engines on the box... I just use my hand if I need to give the engine any input.

I used a break-in bench for the first two tanks and in the car / on the ground for the last five doing figure-eights. Which is actually closer to 60 minutes than 75, but still too long.

I spoke too soon regarding the 2013 as it's on backorder with Amain. Are there any other online retailers that sell the 2010 version of the pipe?

I agree also on the when an enige wears out to most of the time replace it. Its so awesome that the B5 is such an incredible engine and cost only $199. I never liked the fact of spending $300-$400 on an engine and if Iwanted to rebuild it it would cost over $250 for a p/s,rod and bearings. Its great that with the B5 you get all the power and quality of a $350 engine for So much less! Yet, if you do want to rebuild it WERKS parts are pretty reasonable.

While I didnt have an A main win, I did have another reliable weekend of running B5 engines and Werks fuel. Its feels good to not have to worry about that part of your race program...

For $200 I would rather replace than rebuild.

you really wanna be running 30%... and i personally think that 11% oil is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. Ron's thread, so I won't preach too much but I like torco... I've been running it since beta testing last summer. The current batch out there is something like 8%... we just tested a new batch that's unavailable as yet that is even less, and gives a bunch more run time.

Ron's fuel is very good, as well, I have friends who use it with great results.

Byron's is also some of the most expensive fuel you'll ever find at a LHS. It's good, but Ron's WERKS fuel is cheaper and better, IMHO

Markhat250... your B7 screams! so does your m-spec. Thanks for the pit help today, and I'm glad you're liking your WERKS gear and fuel

Default Byron

I live in Iowa where Byron's is made so it's all I run (support the locals and such). They have a 'Pro Driver' mix that is only 9% oil. I'm going to try that on my B5 when I get it.

Byron's is the cheapest fuel we have down here. $30 a gal.

Same Pipe... I believe they come from the same factory in Italy... I run the Orion 2013 and it has been flawless. VVery durable also. It worked in a crunch when I could not find the Werks 2013.

Well I have put some more tanks on my new B5. (About 15 total) I decreased the air gap to .5 and I'll tell you guys I love this engine. Its idling great and has excellent low end. Quite a bit more than the B7 IMO. The werks 30% is working good too. I timed two tanks the yesterday and I got 11 plus min with the 2013 pipe. So I would agree with the other posts, At 199.99 a pop..keep 'em coming.

Thanks Big. I must say I am partial to the B7pro now over the B5.

I havn't really delved into run times, but hope Ron could pipe up on what maybe Kortz has experienced. If it is real close, I think I favor the B7pro for my style (I've tried it in buggy and truggy now). The B5 is nice and I love it, I just love to pin the crap out of it and rpm it to the moon, regardless if I'm winning or not .

I do run a slightly heavier clutch spring to help out the 7 port bottom.

Ron, I'm now using your new 2013 pipes and Werks 30% fuel and liking the results. I'm sticking with my Werks stuff untill someone pays me to do otherwise .
