thank's grizz1, i've take it, and print it on you web site. I,ll keep this tunning procedure in my tool box.
It is special the way this GO engine take a tune compare to other carburator.
It is first time that i see a carb where all day to day adjustment is done stricly by the LSN and not the HSN.
Thank you for your help, it is very appreciated

Hey guys please share any tuning details that are special to these motors.
I've been bussy running in a GX7R which I'm very impressed with. It's drank more than a gallon now and still has metal pinch, but it's easing now...
Top speed is impressive even with a 7mm venturi in and the bottom is pretty good to.
I read some where that using 2 X 1.1 springs in the clutch is the hot set-up and I'd have to agree now I've tried it.
All in all most happy with my GX motor

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if there are any sites with good information on the Go Tech .25 engine. It's not a popular engine, especially among racers, but I would still be interested in a solid platform for club stuff on our loamy track.
A few questions:
I've been reading through this thread and have learned quite a bit about these Go Tech engines. I'm ready to run it in and would just like to be as knowledgeable as possible. Back when I raced Kyosho MP 6-7.5s I was an RB and OS guy but I know that every engine has it's own unique characteristics ...especially Novarossi's...lol.
Any help or guidance on the 25 engine would be appreciated. I'm super-excited to be a Go Tech owner.

A few questions:
- Where do I get parts (conrod) and do any 21 parts interchange?
- Does the 25 carb tune primarily with LSN?
- Best clutch setup (8ight-T 2.0) for loam and high grip mixed surfaces?

The .25 uses the same conrod as all the .21's I have a couple new ones left.
Depending on which low speed needle you have on the carb, the longer lsn is a little trickier to tune. If it is a fairly new motor from the Usa it should have the short lsn.
When we ran a Losi we used the stock clutch setup, you could probably go a little thinner in clutch springs though.
The .25 is pretty popular around here 5 or so guys run them in our series.

Hi Rex, I shortened the LSN on my 7 Port as you suggested and wow!!! it was much easier to tune and ran hard. You quote 2.42" in your post but I think it should be 1.42" ?? The original long needle is 1.6". Going on your figures, I cut and ground mine down to 1.42" and it's sweet.
Out of interest I tried this same needle in my modified 5 Port, but it does not run as good. Has a little hesitation in the rev range just as the needle comes out of the spray bar that can't be tuned out. I am assuming the engine was modded around the long taper of the newer LSN needle and the sudden removal of the shorter needle from the spray bar makes it run a tad rich for an instant. Any thoughts on this. It's not a problem because I use the original long LSN in this motor and it kicks arse, but was just interested to hear your thoughts.

I have a question ? Ive been reading on here about the lsn sizes that there is a short and long one. Does this also pertain to the GO .25 ? And if I have the long lsn in my .25 should I cut it down ? How long is the long lsn and what should be the size after cutting it ? Will this help with tuning on a GO .25 motor ? Thanks for the info guys...

Standard long needle is 1.6" long. Shorten it down to 1.42" and round off to a bull nose end, as opposed to the thin taper of the long needle.
Short needle will be easier to tune if you are used to tuning other engines like OS etc. I have run both, and IMO the long needle gives a smoother power band, and slightly better economy. Just a little tricky to get right until you get the hang of it.

Not sure about the .25 but I would think it would work just the same as the .21's.

Adding the turbo button to the .25 seemed
to give it a little better throddle response
and a few more r.p.m.s. I had to tweek the
tune just a bit leaner also. My PTM modded
GO .25 engine is one of my favorite engines
in my arsonal. I found it also to be the easiest
GO engine to tune, out of all of my GO engines.

Grizz1 have been a great help for me to help me to break and tune my GX-5R go engine, how have a long LSN.
I'll continue to run it like that, but a friend of me have a dead GO 21-7 and he give me his carb, so i'll take the LSN in his car (it's a short one) and try it in my engine just to see if the tuning is better.
But for now, with the tuning tips of grizz1, it is alot easier for me to deal with the long LSN.
