I run a 3-3 block almost everywhere. Here is a clip of my truggy today with the set up we are talking about. The track was good wet and got pretty loose when it dried out

the gearbox shims wont work
you need to get kyosho 8x10mm shims they come in a pack with .1's .2's and .3's
i shimmed mine up once and it made the car really twitchy and hard to drive.
losi's are designed with slop and drive best with it.
it takes some getting used to the theory that the slop helps but IMO there cars are a POS when the slop has been shimmed out
im at the point now where i would like to rebuild my car for the nationals but dont want to do it because i will loose all the slop and the car will need to be broken in again
