Is your buddy's broken in all the way? I have only seen one grenade engine run, never saw an engine loose power as a race went on. I don't think the gent knew how to tune or tuned it cold. I thought they were pretty much the same thing, different heads. Also pipes make a big difference on these engines. I like the dynamite 086 pipe and header combo.

Just picked up a used EB mods 5 port the guy got it from a team driver and he said that he was told it was a race prepped motor with some work....

It has crank and sleeve work... So im guessing its the full mod engine right?

Cant wait my 3pt r in my buggy runs CRAZY and gets about 9-10 min on a light tune running 225*

The EBM 5 port is going in my 2.0 Truggy and if its anything like my 3 pt r which I here the ebm 5 ports have TONS of power, I think ill be sold on GO's FOR A LONG TIME

There are a few ways to tell which gen mill you have put up a few pics side view front and from above and tell us wether it has the short or long LSN. I have the newest gen 5.5 Powerhouse 3 port race. It has the carb from the new GO pics 2 pages back with the white and red pic on the front, short LSN and the coated pins.

Hmm - 95% agreed that these are the latest Gen 6 engines with a name change for marketing. Mark from MMods will know. He may pop on here and confirm our theories at some stage

There are a few external pointers you can look for. A lot of the changes are internal.

Gen 4 - Older style cooling head with just GO and 21 etched on the top of the head. Carb has silver alloy end where the HSN needle assembly screws in.

Gen 5 - Slightly tapered cooling head with more writing etched on it (GO Engine, Racing, 5 or 7 or 3 Port, some laurel wreaths around the GO symbol).
Where the HSN screws into the carb is black, but it has a sliver alloy end cap.

Gen 5.5 - Carb has a red and white GO symbol on the front of it.

Hope that helps

That should keep everyone in suspense for a while until we find out more
Hi All Just to satisfy the hungry minds i have been asked to let people know about the new range of Go Engines being released in End August.

The New Go Engine range are all Gen 5.5 Spec. These are the same as the engine already released except for a few more improvements, these changes have been creeping in with designs by MassiveMods Australia, Simon Yii of Naga Team Racing and the Go Engine Development team, along with suggestions from key distributors.

The Gen 6 MG66 Will be released June however, seeing that the MG66 is my design, it is going under greater scrutiny ( basically because i am a fussy bastard and a total ball breaker ) This will be the only Gen 6 Engine released from the factory till end 2010. The MG66 is a completely re timed engine which is a 6 Port 3 Big Boar Relief Design. With re balanced Tini Coated crank and many more extras.

Heres a sneak Peak of the MG66 Head ..

More news to come

I have been using go for a few months and love it
I thought my 7 port was broken but cleaned it and ran 11 plus mins in a 20 min main and won it because of the one pitstop
I wasnt the fastest but the faster guy had 2 stops

I use the 053 for the 7 port, but im still running a little rich

I have a EBmods 5 port which I sent back and he said it was toast so when I got it back the crankcase had a nick but was not touching the conrod and this is what I put in the 7 port that made the 11 mins, now I am waiting for the conrod so I can test if the 5 is still running well

What pipe would be good with the ebmods 5 port, will the JP 1 or 2 work? will a 053 work for this?

Thinking I broke my 7 and 5 port motors I just ordered a 3 port and will be here soon and would also like to know if JP 1 or 2 would work if not what is the best pipe for it? I just dont want to spend more for the pipe but if it doesnt work will have to get a new pipe too.
thanks

I have tried my jp-3 and 4 pipes on all of my go engines. ebmodded and 2stock 7 port turbos. What I found is,get a dynamite 086 pipe header combo. For me this has been the most consistent pipe combo. But go-tec now has a new pipe. A 2027? I think. I am sure some one will chime in and let you know. The dynamite pipe cost me under 50.00. probably why you don't see many on ebay. One other thing, I understand that the jp-2 was a good pipe for the 5-port. But I think that was when the go-tecs first started getting here in the states. There is so much info on this thread that you could spend hours reading and taking notes[I do] just to have in my tool kit in case I run into a problem. One thing I have learned is once the engine is tuned in if something makes or makes you think it has lost a tune chances are it's something easy[plug] or something else is wrong. Not the engine.

if you are gonna go with a dynamite pipe, run an 086 with the 5 port and an 053 with the 7 or 3 ports

My engine has "7pt" and other writings on it, so it's at least a 5gen. It has an OS carb on it so I have no idea if it's t he 5.5 or not. It's pretty fresh though so that's good.

That MG66 looks killer

I have a new con rod on standby. When should i replace the conrod and do i need to replace the wrist pin along with the rod? thanks in advance.

2 gallons, and yes con rod wrist pin and c clips. Make sure the c clips seat in their grooves or they will come out. By the way broke in for a go-tec is 2 gallons. Try to always heat it up with a heat gun before starting it. By the time you have one gallon on it you should just be able to turn over by hand, and not easily either.

Mark why must you tease us so? You know we are nitro junkies. Are these going to be made upon request? Or are you going to do like the first batch? My god man how much and how long!
