I didn't mean to imply that I was running 5.75 in my SC-10...I run the J82 in stock truck, so I always call it my "truck". My SC-10 is assembled, chassis-wise...I just haven't installed the ESC and motor...or painted it yet. I mostly got it because it looks cool.

I'm going to try running it at Pegasus in stock truck, because I can't stand the thought of subjecting it to the "mod slash" class. Those guys are a tad scary. They've generally figured out how to master the use of servo tape to install a Mamba in a Slash, but they haven't discovered that the throttle trigger has more than one possible position.

The way I drive, I come off the track within the 5 second touch rule at 28/75 (don't have a thermometer) but man...this seems like crazy high gearing on the SC10 to me, given its weight and wind resistance, relative to say my J82. I have a 13.5 in that thing now, though.

You know...I have actually tried them.

I was tying to get the GT2 rear uprights/hubs to work, but they widen the rear too much -- so I stuck the j82 rears on it. It pulls it back under the body nice, but the CVDs are a little too short.

well I was just checking i had a j82. and was thinking that the rear wheels would work on the back of the SC10 stock hub set up, with only ball cup mod?

I found my 35 on my TC so I stand corrected, it's more like 32 or 33/75. still much higher than the norm I guess?

So for sure the GT2 rear hub carriers will not work? I can not find anybody that has the racers edge 1 degree carriers in stock.

Some of them are for preventative insurance but unfortunately a couple have been to repair til new chassis come and get changed out.

I've got yours in my box. Killer deal since I won't have to ship it or kickdown $ to paypal
Put another one in your box for me and let me know when both of use guys are going to be at ocrc.

I asked Ae about the hubs and this is the answer i got:

The GT2 rear hubs cannot be used with the SC10.

Well, on my J82 I guess I was doing a 32/75 in stock, but that's a much lower-profile vehicle and lighter than the SC10. I dunno...I might be able to go up a tooth or two on the pinion with the SC10 but honestly, it feels plenty fast on the straight as is and the lack of traction with stock tires makes it seem like diminishing returns to gear up much more than this.
