OK, just broke my chassis in the same spot, I was just doing some tuning and did a nose landing and snap it in the same spot. It was not even a hard hit! Looks like Associated my have a design issue?
Anyone else seeing this?

Are the shocks the same ones as are on the RC10T4 or are they longer??
Can you run a T4 ball diff in the SC10?
I like the look of the CORR truck a lot better than a stadium truck.

Just finished my build, couldn't have been any easier. No servo saver issues, although i pre-threaded without the spring, no clearance issues on the steering assy, no diff issues, it rolls super smoothe and quiet. I like the battery set-up. One thing i need to look into is the motor mount assembly. With my 5800 there is no wiggle room. I had to go up 2t on my pinion to get the proper mesh. It really shouldn't be a prob as it's near the gear i wantred to try, but doesn't seem like much room for change in that dept, the motor is snug behind the tranny.
All in all, I say it's a cool truck and went together nice. Everything you need is there, and not one extra, don't lose anything...lol
Now it's time to paint and i just realized the paint i ordered from Tamiya says "plastic paint", of course i normally get the polycarbonate paint. Anyone know if the "plastic" paint will bond to lexan?????

Here's what I made from scrap Al plate I had. Not as pretty as Cuda's but it's anodized black and only took me 10 min.

Well got mine running last night, tore the diff apart and am going with the black grease. I had 1k diff fluid in it and was doing donuts in my driveway. Hopefully i can get it on my track today and fine tune the suspension.

The guys breaking your chassis, are you putting alot of weight out front on top of the skid plate? If you put a lot of weight on top of the skid plate, the stress will translate down to the chassis in the area where it is cracking.

Last night we our top 4 qualifiers in the A-main were all running Slashes. Granted they are superior drivers, the overall winner in the CORR MOD won it with a STOCK Slash. Again, he's an excellent driver. The feedback on the SC10 is that they're just squirrely. Most are just overpowered, I'm tempted to run the Titan Slash motor in mine for a while just to get the truck setup. Lap for lap I was still faster with my Slash which is disappointing, but the SC10 is just too much of a handful, again it's really overpowered. On our smaller track the brushless Slash seemed to be a bit more controllable. In summary, I think the SC10 is a great truck, but it's very nervous and doesn't take well to being overpowered. A word of advice, find a brushless setup well below 4600kV, I,m thinking of trying a Traxxas 3400kV brushless motor now.
