Can you run a T4 ball diff in the SC10?

I like the look of the CORR truck a lot better than a stadium truck.

Chi
Yes they are the same as the T4. Yes you can run a ball diff in the SC10. Its the same as the T4 also but you'll have to use the bottom plate because the SC10s plate is different because of the width of the tranny case. They look the same from the bottom but its the inside of the plate thats different.

the diffs ARE NOT directly interchangable. the diff carrier bearings are of different sizes. the only way you can run a t4 diff is to use a complete t4 trans and t4 t plate.

Are you guys talking about the Rear Chassis Plate #9570 being different, or am I missing the point on the T plate?

Already stated that pages ago, you can go get alum, cut it, bend it, drill it, countersink it just like any one else.

OR like I also stated, if you don't want to hassle it, just pick up one from me cuz I already hassled it.

If they were sittin at my track when I broke mine, I would have prefered to just pick one up and bolt it on and get back to racing.

Now they are at the track and on this site for whomever wants to do just that.

Did we need to see your better mouse trap? Maybe, maybe not.

Not adding much more than 1/2 oz or so, not enough to break the chassis.

It can take a pretty good punch but it has also shown that it does have a weak chin if you manage to hit it right on the button.

Better safe than sorry if you don't really feel like doin an R&R of the chassis.

It'll prevent or quick repair if you're too late.

Seemed like a good option.

Sorry I meant the whole tranny with the ball diff from the T4. Not the diff itself. It was early. I'm not sure its that much of an advantage but I'm trying it this weekend and I'll let you know.

F N CUDA I like your plate, but you're starting to get a bit ridiculous. Bagging on someone because they posted a pic of their simple bent aluminum plate, on top of implying that the rest of us are foolish if we don't order one right away, aren't making you come off good here. Plus, constantly pimping your wares on all of the SC10 threads is against forum rules.

It's great that you came out with a simple, functional little product, but chill out with it.

lol you guys kill me, i have been working on a whole truck chassis brace as others pointed out and did repairs on just putting a band aid on the real problem.
i have been testing this for days probably even before cuda put his out but after all the flack others have been getting here is a true chasis brace , its made from tin knockers tin and been cut to use the existing chassis holes. it goes to the front bumper holes all the way back to the tranny motor mount holes. i have been dropping it for days to see if it would bend or break anything and i think i got about 20 drops on the front bumper to the concrete floor with no dammage,
have a nice day

I am annoyed with people pushing products all the time as well. At one point the guy selling B4/T4 drive shafts had like three threads going in the electric forum and he'd keep bumping them. Post that shizit in the F/S section.

The only way you will sell me one is if you jump a complete sc10 from a 4 story building.

Why not just make a full aluminum chassis??? With that full length brace you take the flex out of the pan. IDK but i like my chassis to flex. My brace is similar to the brace posted a few comments back and runs up through the battery brace posts as well.
