Anyone stripping wheels, I had some great success with epoxy and a dremel. I didn't think it would hold up but it did. I used locktight on the wheel nuts and that ended the problem with them coming loose.

I had a blast with the truck yesterday and although my setup isn't right, it was fun to drive...my slash has been giving me the evil eye, I am paranoid its going to do something drastic.

I think a lot of people are going to run into issues with these AE wheels. Mine went on SUPER tight on the rear axles, like...too tight to spin them on the axle to make sure the pins went into the grooves. It took quite a while to get them set correctly. I think people will be spinning off wheel nuts and shredding plastic on their wheels because of this, alone.

I just muscle it on there and if the pin isnt lined up all the way it will line its self up as you tighten the wheel nut. Just watch the back side to make sure it seats correctly. I think we should strip less wheels with the tight fit if you ask me. Just my .002 though.

Anyone dyed their wheels yet?

Looking at the back side of them ruins the scale look and if they were black , it would help disguise it.

i dyed mine just use rit dye (black i assume) use the rit powder it works better and put youre wheels in a big pan and simmer for about 2-3 hrs. put some heavy fishing line through the wheels so you can check them without making a huge mess and dying youre fingers. might wanna buy a pot for this the wifeypo may not like you dying one of her pots. for some reason it takes forever to dye anything black.

Thanks, I'm familiar w/ the technique, just wondering what the results were? Did you remove the silver?
