I'm going to pick up a .28 3port to put in my D8T when it comes in and wondered what pipe I should run? Im looking at the Dynamite 086 hard anodized.

I just bought a RB Mods GO .28, with a blue head, and was wondering what is the diff from the blue head and red head .28? Also what would be a good pipe for this, as I am putting this on a Losi 8T.
Thanks in advance.

Map price on the Eb m5 motors is $279.99 for the race prepped and $349.99 for the Fully modded.

i just bought a 7 port and im breaking it in...im now starting to tune it for race...if i give it a quick rev there is a lot of smoke but when coming back to idle it idles a little high for a second or so before settling back to normal. does this mean my lsn is too lean?

Your LSN is rich and your HSN is lean....... lean the bottom, richen the top and close the idle screw until the idle is acceptable. Once the engine is fully warmed up it should idle for 30 seconds and slightly load up when you rev it on the box once then be crisp the 2nd rev. Tune the HSN on the straight away

Set the idle gap to .7mm, you should be around 1.5 turns in from flush on the lsn. With the idle gap set use your lsn to get the idle your looking for.

Thanks for the info guys. The idle is good so I will not mess with that. I will try the needle settings you guys said. So I should take it as an indication that my HSN is too lean if it dies at the end of the straightaway. Which it has been doing...btw when I do the 30 second test and it stalls when I rev it the first time does that mean I still have to lean my LSN more?

Well as Malik Said one person brought them in so two or three others got them as well. Most of these people have had problems with them. I bought a 7 port and the piston and sleeve wore out after a gallon. I will probably not buy another one

Ya.. what happens is the motor runs out of fuel on the straight away when the HSn is too lean and when the carb shuts to idle its still lean... most people will richen and richen the LSN to compensate thinking its lean... its the opposite. It should idle solid for 30 seconds and when you give it a WOT rev on the starter box it should only load up slightly, rev it again immediately and it should be crisp. When you lean out your LSN the idle will go up.... so you'll end up closing it alittle. I think mine is 1 1/4 turn in from the slide being closed.... at least pretty close to that. After the LSN and idle are set.... you'll only mess with the HSN from track to track usually.

Idle question:

I have the .21 7-port. I have 7 or 8 tanks on it so far.

It's idling a little high for me. The idle screw doesn't seem to go out enough to lower it. I turned it out quite a bit and there's no change (I can turn the idle higher, though).

Any ideas?

Did you set your throttle endpoints properly. Use the idle screw only to set the idle, not the mixture.

The endpoints are good. The servo is closing the throttle completely as it should.

On all other engines I've owned, I can turn the idle screws out enough to the point that they won't idle at all. The Go engine I have won't do that, though.

there must be a huge airleak somewhere, if you close off the slide the engine shouldnt run unless its getting air from somewhere else
