So I am getting ready to put my PTM 5 port in my D8 and im thinking about what restrictor I am going to use. I have the GO set so for shure I am gong 6.5 but that might still be too big or I should say I may want to go smaller. I was running it with the 7.5 in a 10 pound truggy last year.

Yea, but by that time if I was to do more serious racing I would get a new engine. When my Go eventually dies. But I see your point, but I will keep looking but I wont be doing and major events.. for a while yet. As I have only really just started racing. But I do agree.. If I get a pipe would be next month.. so I have time to scout around.. I like the Jp-3 But that isnt EFRA legal dont think...

you need anything that numbered in the 2000's or the new 3000's.ie the 2047 by Hong Nor or GO..they are the same..HN also make a newer pipe 2062 that I've heard very good things about..steven at special RC on ebay usually has both for reasonable prices and his shipping is very cheap and fast from taiwan..or the last page here on this forum someone was saying they are selling a GO 2047 that has only done 2 races..didn't look how much but I bet it will be a good price..
for special rc look here http://cgi.ebay.fr/GO-EFRA-2047-pipe...QQcmdZViewItem
or here http://cgi.ebay.fr/Hong-Nor-NEW-EFRA...QQcmdZViewItem
just checked his writeups and the 2062 is the same as a jp4..not tried either..just the 2047..and I can also add that the hard chrome finish lasts well...my pipe has done 2 full seasons and still looks new!
ps if you do buy from steven do yourself a favour and buy one of the VP pro high downforce wings at the same time..I ran one last season and just couldn't bend it..it looks like it's been in a scrap with a cheese grater but it is still flat and true..the kyosho standard ones bend downwards after about 2 rolls....

the 086 is a top end pipe and the 053 is a bottom end pipe and yes you would notice the difference.
the 7prt may feel a little soft on the bottom end on a tight or short track using the 086 but the runtime will be better than the 053.
My favourite pipe combo is still the 2047 for the 7port and if you can pair it up with a long header even better (hey grizz I think I should start charging you royalty fee for this combo
) the TTR or AE 2035 is also another good pipe on the 7pt but the run time is less than the 2047the 0801 is another good pipe that seems to suit all the Go range reasonably well but the are a little soft and dent easily
so basically for the 7pt my picks are
1. Go or Hong nor 2047 (with long header even better)
2.TTR or AE 2035
3= GO 0801 and 053 the 0801 has slightly better run time of the 2
please remember these are just my picks as performance can change depending on the track surace, fuel clutch, etc

and the 25 gets way better run time than the 28

All you 2047 long header converts, this was Retroīs secret weapon until I blabbed on the forum
It only seemed fair to share it with our GO brothers in arms.CU at Hamilton next Sunday

Jamiekerr14 asked the same question within the last two weeks, so the answer was right there all the time

Hey Jamiekerr14 - You won't need to get a "new" motor when you get more serious. The GO will give you all the power you can handle, and will last a long, long time if looked after

The carb on the 3RSpec is the same as the 5 and 7 Ports.
If you replace the upper O ring (black one) it might pay to do the lower crankcase (brown one) as well. These lower O rings can get a little bit chewed up with any slight sideways movement of the carb, and can end up dropping little shreds of rubber into your crankcase

For a couple of dollars itīs good insurance to change both

. I ordered a 7 port and a new 086 (Dynamite hard anodized) just 2 days ago.
