If the engine stalls more quickly, then it's probably too lean. Try it out and let me know what happens. The high-speed needle may need some adjustment as well, but getting the low-speed needle in the right range will help.
OK, got a new glow plug, McCoy (MC-8). The thing started right up and ran the same as before. Bogged on take off but good on the top end. I did the pinch test and it stalled almost immediately. Started to clock the lsn out an hour or 2 at a time. This seemed to improve the situation. I am getting closer, but not quite there yet. I will keep you posted.

Hello all, I just started with a fresh new setup and Im doing everything possible to get it done right this time I went out on a limb and got the new D8 and also the Sirio S21 BK Evo3 STI. I have been lingering around this thread for a little bit and it seems the concensus is running the turbo button and a OS P3 plug with the Sirio 2013. Well, when I purchased my equipment at the time, I hadn't yet researched the pipe situation and was conviced by a very respected local to get "this pipe." I simply mentioned that Im most concerned with having adequate bottom-end. "This pipe" happens to be an Ofna 069. Hopefully this will get the job done Regardless, I also got a few P3's to throw in it...
My question is, is the button that comes on the motor the satandard button, or the turbo? Hope fully turbo BECAUSE, when I went to remove the head, that crappy flathead screw they use must have been tightened by a not-so-crappy screwdirver!! I used the only practical driver I had, which seemed just fine, and jacked up the head of the screw a little. I didn't want to make matters worse so I didnt continue. Ok..

So either, I am going to wait and use someones flathead that would better fit it (and hopefully still get that one I messed up out) and run turbo/P3 or, hope like HELL that the one that is in IS the turbo button

Anyone that can clarify wich button comes stock please do! If that one screw can't come loose, i seriously have NO idea how it would be possible to remove it...And, if I absolutely cant, what standard plug should I run? BTW, I just bought a fresh gallon of OD 24% 11%Lube...

ez to get the old legal version of 2611 there in US,but not in ASIA market..i dont think the IFMAR will legalize this due to the stinger 5.2mm not really parallel inside.Trevor Reids showed me why it is banned, the tail pipe suppose to be 5.2mm max diameter straight inside while the illegal 1 is not, check and see..

but we are still suffered from this unneccasary mistake by SIRIO..
it goes to Siim and Werks pipes too..

Hi guys,

I never owned a Sirio engine and I think I want to try an EVO 4 STI for next season.

Could you please give me your opinions on quality, maintenace (conrod, bearings) and power characteristics in comparison to Nova and Picco engines?

How is the carb and has the engine a lot of toque or is it rather good in top end?

Thanks in advance.

Personally I have run both the Evo 4 STI and the Evo 3 STI. The Evo 4 STI has noticeably more torque than the Evo 3 STI and the top speed is marginally faster. This engine is definitely a more aggressive engine as compared to the Evo 3 STI which has a smoother power band throughout.
I have ran about 4-5 gallons on it after break in and did not replace any bearings/ conrod and the engine's performance is still like day 1. My only grouch is that the fuel consumption is slightly more than the Evo 3 STI. The engine tends to cut off at about the 4min30s mark as compared to the Evo 3 which can go up to 5 mins. Perhaps my high end is still on the slightly rich side
I have ran together with Nova and Picco based engines on my track and this engine is definitely competitive in the right hands.
