Wow. I never noticed this before.

Nice promotion!

i have a go 3port r that had about 3.5 gallons on it, it was running like a champ until a sudden stop. I took off the back plate and the bushing came apart. killed my motor, is there something i can do to prevent this from happening again?

That is a tough one Bmoney, usually the connecting rods will last although its always a good idea with any engine to replace the connecting rod every 2 gallons, thats no reason for a failure. Please send the engine in for repair and I will see what I can do to get you back racing as soon as possible.

exactly the same thing happened to my Gen 5 5port rod, it had less than a gallon and it happened, it was running amazing and out of thin air the bushing on the rod came apart and took the whole thing out, I'll take a picture, I posted about this 2 pages back but I didn't get an answer, Rocket42 who/where can I contact about this?

Hey Adrian, how goes it buddy. Talking of broken motors - my 7 Port has expired
The wrist pin clip either broke or popped out and got caught in the exhaust port before travelling the full length of the bore whilst attached to the side of the piston - arrghhhhhh Was checking buggy over the other day and noticed a distinct lack of compression in the motor (no wonder !!). Strip down revealled a big gouge in the piston and sleeve. So it's a rebuild coming up. I think it was my fault, as I recently replaced the rod and maybe didn't seat the clip properly. Darn this failing eyesight as you get older An expensive but well learned lesson. It's a real bummer as the motor had just done 2 gallons and was really starting to scream at the last ARCCC meeting.
Lucky I have my MMods Stage 5 5 Port to break in, which eases the pain considerably It sounds nasty even after only 3 tanks

A little birdie told me you had an early Christmas present coming across the ditch too I see Craig D has logged in on the Aussie Go site since he started running his 7 Port in the other night. Mark's fame is spreading fast.
I don't know who else put their name down, so there could be more secret weapons popping up at the next few meetings.
I am working this Sunday, so no racing at Hamilton, but I hope to have mine run in for the Manukau City day - Labour Weekend. Pretty busy at work too with lots of extra shifts to cover.
CU Saturday morning
