Go-Tech Engines Thread

Any Go head or head that fits a Novarossi will fit.
Vti-chris, that carb will work, I would just try the low speed needle first, it's really the only difference.

I too will be putting a RB s5 carb in my PTM 5 port. Are the venturi's the same size as the GO's? I want to order a pack. VTI-chris let me know how the needles feel and all that good stuff when you try it please?

Rhino, I recommend the 5 port over the 7. Because the 5 has more bottum end power. I just put 1 in my Cen matrix arena FRE and I m still breaking it in and can tell already the power is there. I had it on the rack today just practicing and I am still very rich, I havent had it up to 200 deg yet and it was doing well. You just have to be patient breaking it in.

I thought that's how it read ("at" 2 gal, not "every" 2 gal)
"Around" 6 litres - "about" 1.25 gal. Nothing specific, as our friends on here are talking US gallons instead of imperial gallons anyway.
My apologies if I confused anyone. Just putting forward my limited experience to try and help out a little.

No offence taken mate
It's a shame about people like that, because they don't know what their missing
Are we talking local or just everywhere ??
Did you try that 0801 pipe at Hamilton - any thoughts ?

the .25 may seem to have a bit more bottom end but with the right pipe, the .21 7 port will have just as much and then would be able to pull away on the top end. The .25 is basically one of their two truggy motors. I had a guy yesterday at the track I was racing at laugh at me and my friend because we were running go techs. He had a os speed motor. He didnt say anything after we blew the doors off him down the straight away though. haha these motors rock. I have had no tuning problems or nothing. Minor touches to the needled drop this thing fifteen degrees at a time. Thats what i like to see.

hey guys, can you guys tell me if the go 3 port sport has alot of low end torque, the two tracks i go practice are small and technical.so i really dont need something with alot of top end.my freind is using a v-spec and never get to use full throttle on the straight, but he clears all the jumps.so i was looking for an inexpensive engine with alot of bottom, how realiable are these compare to the 3 port race.and are the sport having needle issues.i would really aprecciate your advice, thank you. i have a budget thats why iam considering the sport only.and where do you recommend for me to do my purchase.ebay or online store,

I have heard the 3 port sport has awesome bottom end. I have run one but I modded it first to help the top end. As far as reliability it should be just as good as any other Go motor as it uses the same crank, rod, block, etc. The only difference is the head and carb and more standard cuts on the sleeve.
I sell them and so do others on the board here.
