At my state race this weekend there were a couple guys running .21 5-ports in buggies! That's alot of power. Tony Pattashaw was there running a 5-port in his buggy and a 3-port in his truggy! I could not believe that 3-port ran like it did. I know his motors are modded but it screamed!

Thats comfofting because I just got a PTM 5 port and it sits now in my truggy but very soon it will be in a buggy. I was leary of the bottum end in a buggy being too much. I can do things to compensate for it though like 1 carbon shoe up it a tooth on the cb ect. I was on Neobuggy and went a few pages into it and saw the stats from some European race and the 1st place guy was running a 5 port. I liked seeing that with all the people who talk sh#! on these mills.

ive tried to help you threw this alittle with probs you have had and i cant believe you would put " if you want a 200.00 paperweight buy a go tech" thats a bunch of bs please dont come on this thread anymore if you just want to be judgemental and i prick . this is a site for people that run go engines and/or want to run go engines. they will know of a problem with them and most people want to help fix the problem not make it worse, oh and by the way the engines have new needles that are fixing the probs. mine didnt have that problem with the needle i was able to tune around it but and going ahead and replacing it with one i have from the 5 port from 07 . everyone else just leave him alone and he will leave and quit bother this thread. will g

by the way everyone has problems with engines they are not all PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

And I had issues with V Spec bearings wasted after a gallon, I'm not on every "Vspec thread" or "which motor to buy thread" yelling and complaining that they all suck because I had issues. Move on to another thread like you've moved on to another motor.

Another quick question, if an engine is blowing plugs does this mean its too rich or too lean? My 25 works great, loads of power and top end but I cant see i'm off on my tuning but i'm still blowing plugs every 3-4 runs.
Any thoughts?

Cheers in advance again!

Who and where can I get O-rings from. Is this something I just need to get the specs on and pick em up anywhere. Also anyone here that can address the LS needle swap, if one exist.
Story begins here.....
My 7port has been great all season till last Sat.. I started having the lean bog that I have been seeing. This is the first time I have had any tuning issues. It was not running hot just leaning out after a few minutes on the bottom. I spent all day checking anything that would be related to a lean bog (fuel line leaks/pinches, tank leaks, air leaks, idle gap, air filter, plugs, needle O-rings) I made adjustments all day and when it came time for the B mains I thought I had it ready. Same issue no matter how fat I made the LSN.
Anyway I got home and tore down the engine completely. The only visible issue I saw was the O-ring that is in the bottom of the carb insert neck . It was trashed. I just want to replace this and see if that was all it was. I do have a v-spec carb on standby but I don't want to give up on what has been working fine all season.

Sorry for the novel. I don't post alot but read here everyday. Shout out to Brian

TIA
T.

A Main has the orings in stock just picked some up myself. also several GO dealers here in this thread can help you out w/ the o rings and newer needle. Brianr34 is great he is my local dealer and willo get whatever you want at great prices. i had same issue w/ my carb oring being torn up. just use some GREEN SLIME when installing the new oring in the block and make sure to seal the carb/block w/ some high temp silicone. wouldnt hurt to replace your needle orings too. new lsn does NOT come w/ oring so make sure you buy 2!!

How are you shutting your motor down? Plugging the exhaust does blow plugs once in a while. Does your motor run fine and then next time you run it it doesn't start? Too much compression, too lean will also blow plugs.
