GO 3 ports engine with GO 0801 is better, because the C/P is good.

BSC, I think a PTM GO 7 port and the Go 0801 pipe
would be great on your buggie. It is just a little
smoother on the bottom than the 5 port and never
stops pulling on the top end.

Got to agree with rageworks there - Go .21 7 Port Turbo with Go FEMCA 0801 pipe is a sweet package. Like rage said, the 7 port is a little smoother on the bottom end than the 5 Port (but still wicked ) which suits a buggy, and top end for ever

I believe the 3 Port R Spec is very nice too, but I haven't tried one personally. I´m just too happy with my 7 Port

I see your from The Gold Coast mate. I am assuming that is Gold Coast Queensland, Aus - yes ?
If that´s the case you need to contact Mark at Massive Mods in Sydney re a Go-Tech engine. Check them out at massivemods.com.au

i see your driving the 808, our team driver runs for them and he uses the 5 port, but it is very aggressive in that car, i would say look at the 7 turbo, you still have mean bottom but it's more drivable and doesn't kick quite as hard in stock form, the 808 ramps up so fast a smoother engine may benifite your racinfg better, and yes the 0801 with the 7 is sweet.

Does anyone know where to get the old low speed needle? I have had a bear of a time tuning my 3R the past few days. When it is on, the motor definitely feels better to me than my V-spec or C6. I just wish I wouldn't have this crazy bog that comes and goes.

where is your HSN set now, if it's below flush move it back to flush, and let the motor breakin a little more, i leaned my HS about 2 hours but only after turning in the LS 3 turns. and had almost 1/2 a gallon on it when i moved the HS, then i turned it back 2, it was to much, not enough grip

I'm about to order either the 5 or 7 port turbo motor. Which plugs should I order for spares....I was thinking a P3 but wanted to double check. Will also be ordering the dynamite 053 pipe.

Both motors get the Go FEMCA 0801 pipe for sure. If you are on a budget then the Dynalmite pipes are the next best thing for these motors.
5 Port get 086 pipe / 7 Port get 053 pipe.
Truggy use 5 Port Turbo and Buggy use 7 Port Turbo, you won't be dissapointed. Scroll through this thread over the last 10 pages or so and you will find pretty much all you need to know as far as break in (bottom of page 78) and tuning for these motors.
Use OS P3, the Go motors like em

I use the OS P3 also and they seem to work fine.

Brian,

I left the needles as they were when you sent the motor back from break-in. The first tank screamed and had tons of smoke. After that the bog started. I tried turning the HSN needle one hour each way then the LSN an hour each way. It was close but still had bog. I ran a total of 8 tanks through it.

-John

I will run the engine again Sunday during race day. Where should I set my needles to start the day? Also, how many tanks should I try to get in during practice?

I have the 053 on my 3 port race that has been modded. Im ready to start breakin. Will this pipe be good or would my JP 3 be a better choice? Its on a 8T.

RCD, JP3, has a harder hit on bottom and pulls longer than the 053, better pipe of the 2 IMO for the 3R

i would start as you said, flush on HS, and to give it more fuel and to see where it's at, go 1 turn in from flush on the bottom, get it rich again like it was when you first started, if you need to turn the HS out 1/2 from flush, give it some fuel and go back to the LS but very small incriments.
