Uhm, you don't have pre-detonation symptoms.... but the fuel leaves some to desire, those residues doesn't look so good for me, a good fuel not leaves residues or leaves a very fine layer of color over the piston, too much castor or low quality oil.

What fuel is?

Guess people don't search the info in the forum anymore. Oh! well, here is where to download the manual: Mugen MTX-3 Manual

And, get yourself a Metric Hex drivers, you'll use the 2mm Allen very often.

its recommended to check your motor from time to time to avoid pre-mature wear and tear if dirt gets into the motor.

2.0 mm for most of the car
2.5mm for the pillow balls
1.5mm for droop screws and other grub screws.

My engines used to look like that when I used BK fuels...Having the engine look like that IS (what I call) a problem. Switched to Byron's Fuel and now the engines are almost like new whenever I open them up. Head buttons just have a slight grey shading ...

Never had that problem with Trinity. I saw it on a couple engines running Odonnel when I was working for the hobbyshop.

problem might not be from brands of fuel. could be from temperature. how hot it was running, for how long, any after-run oil, etc.

he he, I'll go back to nap now...
