I think if you buy the front end from CRC, you get Red anodized hardware, and some threaded (steel) axles. Personally i use Lunsford Titanium axles, CRC also do them.
As has been said, Corally now package it all as "WC front end kit".
The 12x std front end is "ok", i just personally find the AE design a little "easier".

Hey Matt, Robin H uses the standard front end at our club, does well with it too. He should be running our national next month so I don't know if he'll be racing in it or not. At last year's Plymouth National, I asked a few of the Corally drivers why they changed and most people said that they have n't tried the standard front end but were following what DS used at the worlds.

My son tried the standard from end. He found it to be unreliable, changed setting during runs (e.g. the downstop screw was moving inwards (!)). Maybe he has not found the right setup with it, but he always said that the front of the car was very nervous. He says the WC front end is much easier to drive.

wing, yes i know he runs that std front end (well he did last time i saw him anyway!). I have tried the std front end - and like i say, it's not bad, and no where near as bad as many would have you believe, but like i say i prefer the WC.

Hi folks,
my cousin have a old sp12g3. now my question is can i mount the complete us spec rearaxle of the my 12x onto the g3?
will it fit?
i think they have both the same bearing holders and my opinion is that it should fit.
i canīt try it because he lives in another city.
Itīs very important because if it works he can us jacos prism tyres and they are much better than the corally ones.

Yes it will fit. The G3 uses the same axle as the 12M std. The 12M Euro edition had a wider axle with spacers - which is the 12X Euro kit axle.
To get correct width (172mm) you'll need something like 5mm of spacers i think. The G3/12M was always FAR too narrow!!

Thanks Matt,
that means, that i have to buy these spacers.
What happens if i only change the axels without spacers?
its to narrow i understand that, but is that to bad?
Others, can i mount the steering block and universal frontaxle from the 12X onto the G3?
Should fit to.

It will just be too narrow. There is maybe a very slim chance that a rear wheel with deep offset could rub - but i very much doubt this. Jaco Prism has deepest offset i think, but i think if it is ok on 12X with no spacers it should be ok on G3 with no spacers.
Yes the standard steering block for G3 is the non ballraced std block. The EU edition 12X uses the ballraced version with axles and bits to fit US wheels. With all the parts it would fit G3.

I have a 12x and I just measured my rear wheel width and this is 166 mm. So I have to make it 6 mm wider. How do I do that? Where do I have to put the spacers? Where can I get the spacers from? Is Corally selling these spacers?
