Will you be my brother

He's going to be one happy 10 year old (we're 10 years apart)

FWIW-I'm using the .28 six port in my 8T and so far it's working great, but I'm just about at the one gallon mark so far and still have the extra head shim installed. I can't say how it does compared to other engines yet either (will get a 2nd hand opinion on it next week hopefully). I'm using the Dynamite 086 pipe. Tons of bottom end (probably too much for me) and the top end seems pretty healthy too. I know I can get at least 6 minutes out of a tank, so far I'm not very impressed with the lack of run time out of it. Going to try a smaller carb insert at some point to see what that does. I still really haven't pushed the limit as far as testing how long I can go on a tank of gas, I just wanted to play it safe for my first race and figured it shouldn't have a problem coming in every 6 minutes.

Well i said i would post my findings on running a modde7 port on a small indoor track, so here it is

i had almost 3/4 gallons on the motor when i got to the track, and ran as much as i could befor the heats, during practice i paid very close attention in the accelaration pionts of the track and the quad jusmp in front of the drivers stand to see who looked fast, if you could clear the quade and the tripple in the middle of the track you were going to be fast, the tripple has about a 1 and 1/2 foot run up on the inside line, so good forward grip and grunt was key, i was able to post a fast lap of 13.2 and ran 13.5 pretty consistantly. the motor had no issues clearing anything, ran very strong and had good runtime being were it was with how much fuel it had through it. I qualified 2nd for the a main, and by the first turn i was last leading up to the quad, i was able to make up ground pretty fast and was getting ready to battle back for second place, i had alot of time left so i just rode around and was waiting for every one to pit, i could pit at 8 min wich would have been later than most so i could gain ground and pull away, but as luck would have it another car came across the track, and i tacoed him and broke my ackerman plate. The motor was awesome, and so was the RC8

PTM GO 7 08 mods
NR 7mm carb insert
OS 2050
pit time 8min

Thanks,
CRASH the .28 is a good choice for your truggy...i recommend running either the 086 or if you feel like spending a lil more money the 2047 is a great choice...

as far as how it will compare to a OS the Go .28 will hang for alot less money...

Yeah i have to agree the Go .28 6 port is animal ! The OS is nice too but why spend so much when you can get just as good for less .

Russell, the shoes showed awesome wear, only problem is i think they slipped to much, i put a new bell on and after the 2nd heat i noticed some blue and dark areas on it from heat build up, i ran 2 1.1 and 1 1.0. the shoes with 1.1s had a bit more wear than the 1.0 but not much at all, but a small track may cause this as well hard pulls out of alot of 180s.

Massive, I see you have the new GO 3 Chamber 2047 pipes on your site.
Have you done any tests yet to compare this new pipe with the LRP 2063. I am keen to know which pipe out of these two will work best on the 5 Port in a truggy ?

I just removed the extra shim from my 7 port. I didn't notice the temp drop but I can turn it over by hand now so I figured it was time. I also have been experiencing an intermittent low end bog that cannot be tuned out....could this have been due to the extra shim?

Salteen. That sounds like a air leak, take off the carb and pressure test it, you may have a tear in your carb boot. You also will want to check the fuel tank and fuel filter. If all that checks out it would be a lean LSN, so you may want to check your idle gap and then Richen your LSN.

It could also be the glow plug. Typically as you raise compression you need to retard timing slightly to prevent detonation. You do that by going to a slightly colder plug.

After putting a turbo button in my 3 port I noticed that the head squish was .30 so I went down to .21 and went to a slightly colder plug. Where an OS P3 (ultra hot) worked before the Merlin EHD #5 (hot) works much better now.

Just a little update on my GO 5 port turbo. Wow, do I love this motor. I have to order a few more of them and put my JP and EB mod V spec away.
I ran this thing all week at the JConcepts Clash, I got 10 mins of runtime, which allowed me to pit only 2 times in the 30 min A main. It easily made the tuff double/tabletop jump with a short run.
