With the shoes and bell, do you feel the clutch slipping? If not ou do not need to clean it, but I usually do it every 2 runs.
Put it this way, I usually inspect the car after each days run. After a good cleaning, I may just take out the engine and radio tray to see if all is well. If I do not feel anything bad I may just put it back together. Regardless, after the second run, I vertually tear the car apart and redo the whole thing. Clean bearing out and all.

how can i tell if its slipping? i can hear it shift and it sounds normal to me. but then again i am new to all this.

The new chassis I have helped design is 35 grams lighter than the stock AE chassis, and almost twice as strong, ( less flexy). It's also 4mm thick in the middle and tapers to about 1.75mm on outside edges. It's made from T6-7075 Alum. Very sweet!! I will show pics soon, R&D almost complete! I will have chassis's for sale buy maybe July if all goes well!

No it's the servo. The 258 and 358 servos don't center as well as the new 94758's do. The 758 is a digital servo with 115oz of torque and a transit time of .06 The 358 is great for offroad trucks or 1/8th scale buggies but in the precision of a sedan the 758 will perform better and the extra torque of the 358 isn't needed.
