If my experience can serve to you. Did from a 5mm venturi a 5.3mm and used an INS box. This helped me to make 5 minutes and very few seconds, lost a tad of power, but at least was able to finish the qualififiers.

I have yet to suffer any..so I don't have any specific area to look for..but I would say if a leak would occur most likely the carb area..needles..always check your orings for scaring. Prevent maintenance is your best bet ..hope this helps.

Nope, what you need to do is order a carburetor rebuild o-ring set and change them, usually the problematic ones are the ones are mounted in the LSN needle, change them in first instance and 99% your problems are a matter of the past.
