anybody tried the Kawahara 3mm chasis?any comments?

it's stiffer and about 10grams lighter than the stock one,,,,,

I am having issues with brake fade in the mains. I just heard about some brake pads that are made out of the same stuff as real car brake pads. Has anyone tried them? Know who makes them/ where to get them? Anyone using just a vented disk?

if you're using the stock brake disc check if the brake cam is pushing one brake pad against each other without applying enough pressure on the disc.......this is why with the minimum wear on brake pads can cause that due to thickness of the disc........

with the ventilated disc made by kawahara (I also think the mtx3 prospec one will fit) you won't get any trouble when braking no matter the pad you choose (black, yellow or blue)

i don't think so........they're slightly different......excepting for the 10 grams less the handling/performance doesn't change, there are 2 air intakes for better air flow to the engine, but I don't think it makes any difference......

I can't believe RC cars could get brake fade situation ( like real cars ? ). Have you adjust EPA travel for brake ?

Just tips..... please try blue or yellow brake pads ? They are mugen originals.

The brakes are fine at the beginning but go away.I have to keep adding more as the main goes on.

Doc - If you don't have the yellow pads you really should invest in them. This should take care of your problem with fade. The vented disc brake is a nice add-on feature and yes the MTX-3 Prospec fits on it.

the pro spec vented disc came with my 2nd hand car and i noticed that one of the pads is almost completely worn out does this mean that the pads or disc are binding somewhere?i got some blue and yellow pads for my car which ones would be good to try first?

I was going to check and see if C-Witt had the yellow ones at the track.

Does the car come with the proper servo horns?

Better than stock servo horns (really... don't remember if they come on the kit, the throttle seems that come) get some high quality for the spline number of your servo (the Serpent ones are the best I've seen).

Avoid like plague the aluminium ones, are just for looks only and they bend and break easily.

I use 3Racing Aluminium ones and they have been fine better than plastic ones and havent bent at all, the kit doesnt come with servo horns
