I am having issues with brake fade in the mains. I just heard about some brake pads that are made out of the same stuff as real car brake pads. Has anyone tried them? Know who makes them/ where to get them? Anyone using just a vented disk?

if you're using the stock brake disc check if the brake cam is pushing one brake pad against each other without applying enough pressure on the disc.......this is why with the minimum wear on brake pads can cause that due to thickness of the disc........
with the ventilated disc made by kawahara (I also think the mtx3 prospec one will fit) you won't get any trouble when braking no matter the pad you choose (black, yellow or blue)

Doc - If you don't have the yellow pads you really should invest in them. This should take care of your problem with fade. The vented disc brake is a nice add-on feature and yes the MTX-3 Prospec fits on it.
See you tomorrow if the weather holds and the kids are feeling up to it.

the pro spec vented disc came with my 2nd hand car and i noticed that one of the pads is almost completely worn out
does this mean that the pads or disc are binding somewhere?i got some blue and yellow pads for my car
which ones would be good to try first?

Avoid like plague the aluminium ones, are just for looks only and they bend and break easily.
