Default December 2024 Box Stock

Class-Box Stock
Date-12/29/24
Location-Winston-Salem, NC
Race Time-237.6
Fastest Lap-3.00
Chassis-MR-03 ASF
Body-911GT1
Wheelbase-90mm
Tires-PN KS Med fronts glued, Marka V1R10 rears
Motor-Stock
Batteries-SpeedHouse 800s
Front Springs-ATM Deep Blue (Soft)
T-Plate-Kyosho Carbon Soft
Motor Mount-Stock RM
Dampener (If applicable)-None
Dampener Fluid (If applicable)-None
Gearing-Stock Gear Diff/7T pinion
Notes-One of the more fun cars to drive, and better after gluing sidewall, but still flips easily if I clip an inside turn because its so light with no ballast added. I only got two runs in with this car late in the month. It was quicker again on this layout than my 98mm Box Stock NSX, which I only got to run a couple of times with a best of 251.3. But I was still 7 seconds slower than last month.

Notes-This car is super light, but very stable and quick and is one of the funnest to drive and watch going around the track! It runs great on both Narrow and Wide rears with no setup changes. No changes, but only had a couple of runs and could have gotten a better time with a few more tries. 10 seconds slower than last month.

Gburr, Welcome to the Challenge!!! Great to have another driver! A FAST AWD driver at that! That is a smokin hot time! How long have you running Mini-Zs?

Great running guys, and Hope all are well and warm!

P.S. The new layout is fun! I remember it being kind of tough the last time I ran it, but I hadn't been running very long at that point. Now at least CW I have got it down and it's quick.

Whats the best way to find local people to race with locally? There is a small mini z group but they only race on a night I'm not available? They will not touch racing other days. I'm just trying to find a few people to run in my basement for fun, I've tried posting on facebook groups, etc

First 2 runs on the same set of batteries. Something about slow is fast... I think my fast lap is ~0.7s faster than 2 years ago.

Update - Fast lap is 0.717s faster than 2 years ago and the full 75 laps is already 70 seconds faster!

Prostock 5600kv video. This is the fastest non lipo run I have done this month. Need to shave 15ish seconds to beat the 2023 winning time on this layout, going to take a lot of practice. .

Really need to clean this car. Yuck!!

Set of batteries on their 3rd run and throttle at 80%... makes no sense to me, but I'll take it.
