I have both the TT-01 and TT-02 stock diffs each with a diff locker installed. They are a drop fit and easily fit without any difficulties or issues.

I won Tamiya’s instagram giveway and got a brand new TT02 I’m looking to race in blinky 21.5 class and TCS 2022 pro spec with it.
What are some recommended modifications/hop-ups that aren’t in the TCS rules but are important to have in order to be competitive?
also I’m looking for a TT02 Type-S if anyone is looking to sell theirs.

Yes, I removed the o-ring too. What’s weird is that even if the block fit in place, the outdrive axle won’t even fit in into the locking block. I’m thinking I probably need a different diff housing, outdrives and pins.
Also, the TT02RR diffs only use 2 small bevel gears rather than the 4 that show in your diagram.

The 420 arms would drop right in. The only issue is if you use the droop screws / down stops. The 418 to 420 do not have drop screws m both sides as the type S arms. So you would have to drill those in yourself

I just picked up another TT-02 from a local modeler that came with the Torque Tuned motor, a Power HD steering servo, full bearings, kit rims and tires with the Mustang GT body. It was used to drift but I will return the car to box stock setup for the TTGT class we run. The kit included a Tamiya TBLE-04s speed control which surprised, and when I Googled it seems this ESC has replaced the TBLE-02s version. Has anyone else found this new model ESC in their Tamiya kits?

Reading Raman's comment, they may no longer come with the 04s ESC. When I bought these two kits a couple months apart, the 91 came with it and the 92 didn't.

After the USTE Scale truck event which I had a blast with my Trail Finder 2 at(I know, nonTamiya but such an awesome scale leaf spring truck), I took the TT02R out. Man I missed this thing. I remember the Audi body having the issue of the high pressure area inside the back of the body at 55+ mph, and the tiny spoiler. So I switched out the rear body posts and put the Lance Evo body on with a much better spoiler.
On my tiny little culdesac I was able to squeeze 66mph out of it, whereas the Audi body was spinning out or veering off to the side over 60mph. Not wanting to cut up bodies to help this issue as I love the way the bodies look.

I robbed a few things off of the rally build, and put the Audi body on there for the time being. The parts wound up on my RWD drift build. Need to finish the body up and I am waiting on the chrome 2 piece wheels to come in for it. I have some fine mesh I'll be installing in the cutout brake ducts and grille opening.

Best I can describe the paint, from most angles it looks jet black, soon as the sun hits it it's deep blue with a crazy amount of pearl. Inspired by GM's tuxedo black from old old Corvettes. On this chassis I will also be integrating red LEDs into the chassis itself for underglow. Being I am unable to locate the Porsche headlight buckets I'll be modifying AA Maglite reflectors.
The updated garage. 3 TT02's and an RC4WD TF2.

Need to do some Lexan repair on the front bumper, but no broken parts this time. Turns out driving slow with a scale truck and learning to "pick your line" when crawling with leaf springs gives alot more control and patience with a speed run car. I'm still a little reckless with the speed run car, but not nearly as much as I was. Though I still shouldn't be trying for 70mph on my road without the room for it
I need to get around to build threads for my TT02s, but I've got one for the TF2 if anyone is interested. Lots of great work put into this truck!
