Have a question - if you’ve bought a new decoder and it has 4.5 on it - has anyone successfully “downgrades” to 4.4?
new club here has just purchased a new unit and for obvious reasons, 4.5 is far from ideal for them.

And regarding the software update, that is not the reason why tracks are closing. It may not be a friendly step of Mylaps but on the other hand drivers had enough chances to exchange their old and even non AMD transponders for an original RC4 for a special price.
Regarding a downgrade, I think that must always be possible if you have the HEX file, open the machine and program it directly on the processor through the onboard communication port.

Your firmware is unique to your decoder's SN. You have to ask MyLaps if they can provide you a 4.4 firmware for your decoder. You can't use the firmware from another decoder.
If you get one for your SN, a downgrade is possible.

Hi All,
We have purchased a decoder with FW 3.3 on it, and we could not get it to work with neither RC3 nor RC4 transponders, nothing with MRT either. The decoder screen showed no detection of the loop. We just bought an original loop and coax cable, so that is not the problem. I suspect it is settings, but more likely firmware issue ( we bought it from a cart track). Can anyone tell me, if I can somehow upgrade the firmware to V4.4 or below, and if FW 3.3 should be compatible with the current RC3 transponders?
Thanks a bunch.

i was trying to contact amb after logging in to the speedhive page via the contact, but i couldn't submit my inquiry after tping up my questions, does anyone know what is the support email that i can send please?
the track is required to upgrade to 4.5 firmware and we are kind of forced to upgrade by trade in our older version of amb, mine are amb DP, which can only use at 4.4, i would like to seek if there is any option to retain my numbers.
amb is offering trade in discount for that, but i just wonder how many options i have?
thanks

Anyone know if the RC transponder trade in to RC4 offer at the Mylaps speedhive shop for older AMBrc transponders is still valid, and if they have stock? The website says until November 30th, 2019, but I can still add it to the cart and I assume pay for it. Don't want to get stuck in a situation where its not valid or back ordered forever.
