Hey Nick! I just picked the 5 Pro and am loving how it feels in the hand. Too much snow to actually go out and use it.....none the less it's great.

Quick question- Just picked up an SR210 and I know its advertised as being waterproof -- water resistant. I like the idea of picking up an Sr215 more since it doesn't use bind plugs. Do we still see all the "sport" qualities in this new receiver? Big thing being waterproof and or related since it will be going in a boat once spring comes.

There is enough snow on the ground, maybe I can just toss the boat in my front yard and hope it goes.....

Cheers,
Ebenezer

We didn't do anything on the newer sport receivers to "water proof or resistance" them. If you know you are going to be running or using them in a wet situation. Its much better to go through steps like these from Axial - Axial Racing - Waterproof Your Receiver

This process is even better than anything that was done on the older receiver, short of using a pure marine receiver. Even then, this process would help to give you a little extra piece of mind.

Does anyone know If the ABS brakes programming is ok to use with a Brushless Sensored motor/ESC system or was this program feature designed for Nitro cars? Thank you, Ed

Nick okay that totally makes sense. That being said since I'm using a 5 pro, do you think it is better to use the newer model receiver? Any specific advantages 215 vs the 210?

Great tip on the waterproofing. Something I will be keeping in mind and doing regardless of what receiver I get.

Cheers

Ps: Do you guys make any marine receivers? The website lists the 210 as marine...

I am ready to grab this radio. Does anywhere have any coupons codes for this? It sucks that they don’t allow discounts when others do

Hard to define normal... couple variables involved in how the batteries could drain down. Don't have the exact details, but would think the rechargeable would have a better mah rating than an alkaline. Probably more than the LiIon we sell for the 5Pro (2000mah). The 4R was a bit legendary for how low it drained batteries. Can't really say I know why/how that changed, the 5/5Pro electrical development was done before my time. I am a fan of rechargeable in the TX's

Hi,

I just replace the cells for a rechargables one’s and seem it last more time than before.

Also can you check this video of my DX5R?

This happen when I try to assing Knob or “I” slider switch to any Aux channel.

AVC is off

I try with:

SR3100

SR415

SR515

with the same result.

Any idea what happens?

best regards

Chances are that you have the 'I' switch already assigned to another channel.
