It's suggested to use a 17t or 18t on bigger tracks. I'm running a 16t on my 4600kv Pro-4.

any gearing recommendation for a 13.5T boosted? This is what they are specing for 2wd stadium, will be converting but to get a ball park FDR would be good.

I’m running a 20T pinion with the SC wheels. I usually stop around 7:30 minutes. I’m not sure it will make 10 minutes but the motor is only 140-150 degrees, esc is around 120.

Just my opinion but you'd be better off running slash offset shortcourse wheels with badlands on those if you want basher tires.

Do you fellas have any ideas on bodies that would cover the rear shock towers?

Here's Brian Bush's starting setup for carpet.

I have a jconcepts 22T 2.0 mid motor body that looks like it would work. I decided to run the wing so did the XT2 body. I think that jc body is discontinued. The TLR 22T 2.0 mid motor body might work but not as well as the jc. I have seen pics of a T5M body but it didn't look like the wheel spacing was right.

Got my kit on the way. I have not seen any mention of having to ream ream the arms for the hinge pins. Will I have to reams the arms or no?

Saving up to get this kit, all i have is tlr but with something like this i got to have it . i give props to tekno for taking a risk coming out with such a cool rc......but I'm starting to have a little doubt about the future of this class . I hate stadium trucks and how they look, I was excited about this cause it was designed and versioned to be a truggy. Truggy 1/8 is so much fun and I bet this one is too. But what I'm afaird of is people putting st bodies and calling it a st 4x4. It'll get something going and there you go , the end of the truggy and roar making it official 4x4 st class and not call it truggy. I guess if it does comes down to that happening I'll just bash it and make practice runs. Just wanted to give my two cents cause I see alot of people calling it a st.

I needed to on mine. The fit was OK for the arm on the hinge pin itself, but once the retainer screw was put in the arm, it distorted enough of the plastic to cause the pin to be tight. I put an 8mm setscrew into the hole and then reamed the arms and removed the setscrew - perfect fit after fully assembled with the 6mm retainer button head screw.

I agree. I think some racers feel a need to put it into a class and 4wd stadium truck just happens to fit. I'm really concerned that locally if it takes off people will try to force it into that class and restrict the wheels and bodies. I hope that it becomes an open class where the rules don't take the fun out it.

I kind of agree and hopefully that does not happen.

But as it is, loving mine. Got a good night in at the track and starting to get the hang of it. It's fun to drive.

Agreed. It should be an Open Class to start until it becomes popular, where Racers can run whatever motor, wheels and tires or body that they choose. On the local Club level, it should be about fun as far as this is concerned.
